Correct 

Correct, at least until someone releases a hack which removes the need to do a DVD drive check, which they almost certainly will do. Probably on day one if the history of FS is anything to go by.

Uuhhhh ... i guess there will be problem arise with the Xbox-Pass then when MSFS checks files with online ones.

I would not have a problem when MSFS checks the licence from time to time, i could live with that. What i can't live with is to have an constantly connected internet line. Many people have fiber connections that don't have that problems, but there is still a FAIR amount with DSL. And don't forget, there are still ISPs which force a disconnect every day. If you're unlucky that happens in the middle of a flight and ... poof, session closed.

As i heard about DVD and internet connection check i have instantly canceled my order for the Premium Deluxe version. As long as these silly chicaneries are in place MSFS won't come to my PC.

Can't you just rip the ISO of the dvd  and just mount it before running? Pretty sure that will work. No doubt it'll come with a digital code for its DRM surely? In fact you could probably write a bat script that will mount the ISO and launch the game just by clicking an icon on your desktop. Not to difficult to do

Dude, CHECK YOURSELF. There was nothing rude about my post only the few posts from a couple of petulant children take that prize.

Why are you thinking, that continuous internet connection is necessary? Nobody tells it. If you're in flight and lost your internet connection, you only lost live traffic, weather and streaming scenery, but you may finish your flight in off-line mode.

...and this is why even the great Mathijs Kok should abide by the NDA!

I don't doubt he's reporting his experience truthfully, but unless he was specifically cleared by Asobo to make that "shutdown on disconnected internet" observation public, I would think it would be best to reserve any worries or judgement until the final product is released.

Is it really better if this drawback had been hidden until release? So just as an "Surprise, surprise!"-thingy?

It's not a fuged story, its what we've been told at the Aerosoft forum.

While everyone's just bickering about (I've not seen one positive comment on the video), I'll just say this:

Being an alpha tester for quite some time now, I can tell you that this is one highly impressive video.

They obviously put lots of time into this, my respect.

Yeah, it takes hours to compile, review, select clips, and edit other people's video together, throw a music track behind it and present it as your own. Hey some people even go the extra mile and place commentary over the top....of other people's video.
