Looking at your post history it's like someone on a vendeter to kill MS2020. Why do you do it? I don't like Xplane but I dont pull it down just because I prefer P3D. Most people in this day and age have a good internet connection. It's been around 3 years the last time mine went down. Millions of people play online only games all the time.

Sure if you live in an igloo and the generator goes down powering your dial up modem you might have problems. Dear me.

Don't know about that, only takes "Hive" or a printer to confuse the hell out of my Sky Fibre router, let alone online gaming....

 

... just replaced with a 3rd party one though, so hope it's an improvement.

My son is on Sky and his internet is not as good as when he was living at home, it costs more but BT is the gold standard, never have a problems and as you probelry know everyone else rents the lines of BT but its is not the same. It really is not. No matter what they say.

You have something wrong when your printer brings your router down. Hope the new one works out for you. I have BT also at work and the 2 printer here are going all the time, never has the internet gone down to a printer or anything else here.

As long as people are posting MSFS stuff in the P3D forum i have all rights to answer these posts with snarky comments, and this post was there before an admin thankfully moved it.

By the way, its already confirmed several times that MSFS will stop working as soon as there is no internet connection or disconnect. An seldom stupid decision by MS to nag people with this live connection rubbish, the sense to handle it this way escapes me.

Source is Mathijs Kok, Aerosoft Manager and serveral Alpha users which have their MSFS closed when internet was disconnected. More than enough reliable sources.

Ah, you mean that the limited alpha code that has protections in place to verify that unauthorized people are not using or distributing a pre-release title. I see now,

Discourtesy here at AVSIM can possibly trigger an unwanted 'vacation' from posting. Please do keep that in mind.

Offline mode was deliberately omitted from Alpha/Beta tester's versions, as MS/Asobo needed a live connection to record metrics from the tester's using the sim. So I'm hardly surprised at the reports of the sim closing when the internet was disconnected or otherwise down.
