August 16, 20205 yr Vast improvement on the beta version which is very basic and even has a row of terraced houses on the north side of the terminal! AMD 9800x3d, 64 GB 6000 RAM, RTX5090, 2 x NVME, 2 x ssd Win11 Monitor 1 Samsung G9 5120x1440 Monitor 2 Samsung 3440x1440
August 16, 20205 yr It still needs work on the area in front of the main terminal. Rather low resolution ground textures, with cars seemingly placed nowhere near any parking bays. August 16, 20205 yr Again like the Innsbruck video visually stunning of course but it’s so static... Orbx are the flagship of add on airports and we have zero vehicle movement. For me it’s not enough, it’s looks great mainly because it’s sitting in this amazing simulator.
August 16, 20205 yr Perhaps the traffic is not implemented yet. It wasn't said that the Orbx airports will be available with the simulator's launch, which means there might still be work to do. I guess there will be a mix of live vehicles from the simulator along with the static ones that Orbx usually place in their airports.

The AI aircraft am not too concerned about I think that will come together in time but the airport vehicles are clearly static and that to me is poor. Seems like they have rushed these products out with very little innovation and not taking full advantage of a next generation simulator. As I say it looks lovely and I said it in the other Orbx post for Leeds Bradford but how much of what looks great is down to the simulator, lighting/weather etc, minus some improvements on the grass I don’t see much of a step forward here, they don’t feel alive, which is a shame as Orbx are capable of better no doubt.
August 16, 20205 yr Personally think it looks fantastic again, better than anything I've experienced in a flight sim before. Compare it aerially to real life and its hard to distinguish between them.
August 16, 20205 yr We have really come a long way with flight simulation, when people are seriously complaining about cars being parked outside of parking bays. What a great time for flight simulation! Edited August 16, 20205 yr by RALF9636

You’re right we have come along way, but what if we can go further, would you not be onboard for that? ‘We cannot discover new oceans unless we have the courage to lose sight of the shore’ 😊
August 16, 20205 yr They are running it on a pretty beefy system and I’m assuming ultra settings, yet the FPS seem to be consistent with the vanilla sim. That’s encouraging.
August 16, 20205 yr the quality seems below the default vanilla. Seems like Asobo has really raised the bar high in terms of quality.
