Moving to Kiribati brought me to the TBM start screen, but I cannot get past the CD request. Seems the installer can be fooled, but not the license tool.

So close, yet so far away ...

Get the xbox gamepass and try. Its like 1 usd if you are new, and like 4 bucks if you aren't. That should work.

I did it through the MS Store itself with the Game Pass, not the Game Pass app.

Thank you. I got it to work through the Game Pass app. My issue was that while I did change my region, I forgot to change the time zone and date/time to the 18th. Once I did all of that, it worked. (Well, it is downloading 91.36 gigabytes in any case.)

Some people say they got it to work by simply changing their region and not changing their local time.

You people should calm down and have more patience. Who knows what technical difficulties you may bring upon yourselves. Not to mention that it's defying the licensing agreement.

All I can say is that I was getting an error message -- even after rebooting -- when only my region was changed, and that it worked as expected once I also changed the time and time zone (though I have no way of knowing if it was the time or the time zone or both that fixed it for me). I would suggest just changing the region and then using my method if that doesn't work. But do set a reminder with Alexa or whatever you use to change all this back tomorrow. 🙂

I used to work for MSFT. I've been in IT since 1990. I am not even slightly concerned about any of this. And if I was any more calm, I'd lack a pulse. 😉

I don't understand the mentality though. One day is nothing. Why not do it as and when the developer intended? At 62 I've learnt many times that to rush in headlong is often a mistake. You are of course entitled to do what you want.

I don't understand the mentality of gatekeeping people's excitement either, coming into threads telling people to be patient when they can access something they've been waiting for right now, of course simmers will be joining in. Fine you don't want to partake but let people enjoy the moment, if they hit any problems, that's on them and not you.

Not to worry, P3D has made that a basic feature of flight simming.
