August 24, 20205 yr Actually, if there is one thing I could say was pretty much spot on, it's the rain. Did a flight yesterday starting off in heavy rain/CB in the Zlin Shock Ultra, and the weather depiction was utterly convincing, noise in the cockpit and visuals on the windscreen all really high fidelity. Amazing in fact, pretty much exactly like the real thing. Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

August 24, 20205 yr Rather than trying to find rain, you should just use one of the weather presets. I've had plenty of rain and rain effects, with or without weather presets.

But still nothing ON the windshield itself or any noticable sound effect. hmmm.... Intel i9-13900K | Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Master | RTX4090 | 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5-6000 | Be quiet! August 24, 20205 yr Just checked but looked like it was working as intended....Maybe something bugged in the install or specific to planes? I was in a Diamond DA40NG
October 18, 20205 yr Hi guys! Is there a solution to the problem yet? I experienced the same things with the rain. When I take off in sunny weather and then fly into heavy rainshafts, there is absolutely no raindrops on the windshield. When i'm starting with heavy rain conditions i have only light rain/raindrops on the windshield and above 60 kts it is completely disappears (or just a few small drops on the side window). It's very annoying. I'm using live weather. PS: when i switch to the Unreal Weather addon and it's inject the METAR, there is perfect rain representation on the windshield. But I prefer MSFS live weather due to cloud and cloud fronts visualization.
October 18, 20205 yr Author Same here. Still haven't found a fix/cause for this. Intel i9-13900K | Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Master | RTX4090 | 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5-6000 | Be quiet! Pure Loop 2 FX AiO | Win 11

October 18, 20205 yr check while you are parked at an airport and select Rain preset. Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
October 18, 20205 yr For a apples-to-apples comparison, try flying the Donegal high-wind landing challenge. Rain effects should be showing on the windshield and side windows.
October 18, 20205 yr Another one to try is the nexus weather preset download: https://www.nexusmods.com/microsoftflightsimulator/mods/80 as a test , set it to scattered showers and see if you get rain flying with that.
October 18, 20205 yr Thank you, guys! With Donegal challenge there is no problem. Correct raindrops on the windshield and on the side windows. There was also no problem with the MSFS rain preset and with the nexus preset. I flew even worse weather this afternoon (with live weather) than the Donega Challenge, and there was no raindrops at all. I tried it with different planes (C152, G36, VL-3). The problem only occurs with live weather and ONLY with MSFS live weather. As I mentioned, not with Unreal Weather. Strange...
