A320 Neo Updated Mod

Recommended Posts

Hi, there is a problem to install the A320 mod, the instruction says to drag the A320NX to the community folder, but did it nothing happened. Do I need to remove the old A320 from the official folder? Thanks.

I installed the MSFS on a desperate drive not using the default to 😄

my community folder is in the custom install location I picked at install, not the appdata folder noted in the instructions.  if you did a custom install location, your community folder may be there.

Squirrel made a nice detailed video on what the mod does. Most of the features are in the development version, which is not the default download on the Github page. The video shows how to obtain the most full-featured version.

Go to your MSFS folder, in that folder will be two folders official and community, the folder you need is "A32NX" drag or copy that into the community folder and you are done. Start the sim in the airbus click the APU button, if it changes to the APU page you have correctly installed the mod.

Thank you guys for the replies. I have two folders in the MSFS, official and community, I watched the video followed the instruction and drop the A320NX in to the community folder. But still the original A320 is showing in the game. Not sure why would that be since this is a very simple add-on of the new version. My question is how the game decides which A320 to pull if the original one is not deleted first.

The original A320 will still show, this is normal. The updates to the Community folder only overwrite specific aspects of the default aircraft. A completely new aircraft is not created.

The best is from the real Airbus pilot "320 Sim Pilot"

Not only he reviews but tell how accurate it is from the real one, what switches actually mean etc.

The mod developpers should use him too as a contributor

Same problem here. I have install MSFS2020 on a custom drive which now have two folders "community" and "official". If I put the "A32NX" folder into the community folder, nothing happens, still the same Asibo A320 in the sim.

Its weird becuase I added A320 liveries into this folder and that worked perfectly...

EDIT; Apparently alot of people are having this issue according to youtube comments. Mods does not like custom install destinations.

I have read the Q&A but it doesn't aid much. The phrasing "on top of the default A320 neo" is a bit confusing though as aircrafts are displayed on a horizontal line in MSFS2020, but still I only have the default A320 Neo in my sim. Again, alot of people with custom install folders seem to have the same issue, however, putting liveries and airports into this folder works well.

As far as I understand, there will still only be one A320 to select from, but it will have the mods.  Have you tried loading the default A320 and seeing if the APU page it active for instance, that is the test.

I've installed to this folder as per Sqirrel's video and the instructions on the Github A320NX download page, but I can't get the mod to work. Are there any other steps I can do to determine what is going wrong. is there a .cfg file somewhere I can update to point the A320NX to the Asobo location

It is the "default" that has the mods, no other A320 is added. Unlike the Zibo 737 in X-Plane, you will "not" see another aircraft. To test, click on the APU button, if the APU screen appears you have updated it ok. In the squirrel vid he is shown using the "DEV" version not the stable version. Here is the link to the DEV version:- https://github.com/wpine215/msfs-a320neo/tree/dev-0.1.1
