September 18, 20205 yr Commercial Member Very frustrated. Sim was working fine. The latest update was updating for 18 hours and I thought this is not right since original install was only few hours. I stopped and uninstalled everything and tried to do a clean install and that didn't work either. It was taking more than 20 hours and it was going on a loop. I called microsoft and they said to fill out the refund form which doesn't load in any browser. https://support.xbox.com/help/subscriptions-billing/buy-games-apps/refund-orders Finally they said they will research the issue and call me back, which they didn't. So everything is broken now. I paid $120 and I can't even do anything. I have seen many people are in the same shoes and non of the suggested solution has worked and even microsoft can't help. Before installing, did you disable your firewall/anti-virus?

September 18, 20205 yr Same here. Sim run well on release, run well after Patch #1. Since Patch #2 im stuck in endless loops of downloading and resetting packages, without ever installing them. Re-installing the sim was not solving this - still endless loops. Not able to play this fine 140 € sim now... September 18, 20205 yr Had an endless loop for downloading various files from the patch too. Spend over 75GB in download data for just one file that is 1,85GB big and still it would start over and over. Looked a bit all over the place for a solution, found a few, none of them worked. Until i saw a post about bringing down speed of the network card to 10MBit/s (from 1GB/s). Tried it (without having much hope) and the rest of the entire download went through in one go. Took quite a while at this speed. After download complete i did set the network speed back to 1GB/s. Maybe worth a shot? https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/update-stuck-in-a-loop-1-8-2/273910/18 Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. I'm having the same problem. Uninstalled MSFS and am trying to re install no success at all. It was working ok before this patch Edited September 18, 20205 yr by aguiar Francisco Aguiar
September 19, 20205 yr I had the same issue, I fixed it by doing the following: 1 - Changed my routers DNS Servers 2 - Installed NetLimiter 4 and set the up & down speeds to 2MB/s for flightsimulator.exe I did both at the same time & it took about 30 minutes to download but didn't get stuck on any files, found the tips on the main MSFS forum and the person said the up and down limits may need adjusting. Maybe try Netlimiter first then adjust DNS servers if still not downloading properly. I changed the DNS servers from Cloudflares 1.1.1.1 service to Googles DNS servers. I hope this works for others like it did for me Custom Budget Build built in late 2022 Gigabyte X570s UD Motherboard, AMD Ryzen 7 5700x CPU, 32gb DDR4 3200mhz RAM, Nvidia RTX 3060 12gb GPU, 500gb WD SN570 NVMe Drive (Windows 11 Pro + Programs), 512Gb Adata XPG SX8200 Pro Nvme Drive (for MSFS only), 256gb Gigabyte NVMe Drive (MSFS Addon Planes), 2Tb Seagate Sata HDD (MSFS Scenery, Tweaks & Apps) + 240gb Gigabyte Sata SSD (Small Games), 240gb Kingston SSD (Small Games), 1Tb Seagate Sata HDD & 500Gb Seagate (Media Drive)
