October 3, 20205 yr I'm not too educated about processors these days. I've read the minimum specs but don't have any idea when they say Intel i5-4460 or better. I'm getting a laptop with a Intel Core i5-1035G1, 8 GB SDRAM, 256GB SSD+16GB Optane, integrated graphics. I'm not getting it specifically for FS but just wondering if this will meet the minimums. THX
October 3, 20205 yr I'm sorry to say that with those specs you will struggle a great deal to play MSFS with anywhere near the performance that it requires to look and feel good. If you can increase your budget a little more then you'll be able to build a machine that can. Edited October 3, 20205 yr by Will Fly For Cheese

But when I looked the price of a laptop required to run MSFS 2020, I realized it's better to get a new desktop capable of running MSFS, and buy a laptop (with integrated graphics) separately. The amount of money spent getting a laptop with a graphics card capable of running MSFS costs too much. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
October 3, 20205 yr no, that wont run it at all. you can always try the gamepass option for 1 dollar a month to see, but with that laptop, its hopeless.
October 3, 20205 yr Author Ok thanks. I didn't think it would. I'm getting the laptop for free so I can't really complain. I have an HP all-in-one with a 21 inch screen that's beautiful for FSX and runs it flawlessly on high settings. It's actually a recent model Intel Celeron dual 3.2 ghz but man it's fast for a Celly. I think the SSD is why it runs so good. I wonder if I could upgrade the processor on it. I'm not sure the motherboard allows it and then I would still have graphics card problem. Oh well. I may just wait until it comes out on Xbox and spend some money on an Xbox. Thanks for your opinions.
October 3, 20205 yr Save the pennies and build a machine to run it. . . It'll be a good investment in fun things to do. I've flown for over 8 hours today crossing the Sahara Desert. There's so much to do and so much to be seen. . . Jump on in. Heading down through Africa.

THX Main problem is the integrated graphics. the rest could run it in low or medium (wich is already amazing), but you need a decent graphics card at least (Im on a 1050Ti, and i am amazed at how the sim is able to run at 30fps, looking fantastic)

Was a beta tester for 2002 cuz I knew some guys at Microsoft. Been flying 2004 for quite a while until I got bored with it. I've just lately been getting back into it. Been messing with FSX but still prefer 2004. I'm sure 2020 is a great sim. If I do decide to get it I'll either get something with a 21 inch screen or higher, preferably an all in one or Xbox. Enjoy
October 4, 20205 yr I wonder if there exist any laptop that can run MSFS? I doubt there is ... System: I ASRock X670E | AMD 7800X3D | 64Gb DDR5 6000 | RTX 4090 | 2TB NVMe | Seasonic Vertex 1000W I LG Ultra Gear 34 UW I
October 4, 20205 yr A free MSI GS66 Stealth fell into my lap, so to speak. I got it for free if I could fix it, which I did. It only needed a new SSD. I'm about to start downloading MSFS on it, so I'll let you know. It has a Comet Lake i9-10980HK processor, 32 MB RAM and an nVidia 2080 super.
