There is a company that sells Mooney-style speed brakes as an STC for the Bonanza.  https://www.knots2u.net/speed-brakes-beechcraft-bonanza-36-models-kt4005/

They also have a gap seal kit that is supposed to add a little bit more speed at cruise.

(I may have spent way too much time looking at real life Bonanza stuff after I opted to use it for my around the world flight in sim)

Can't wait to fire up this new version!

Do you know anyone in the user community that could explore adding the optional speed brakes to our Asobo Bonanza? Now that would blow my skirt up.

i think these are the same ones they market for the Mooney.

@raymar

Ray- if anyone can, @robert young Rob’s your man... now the model may not show them... but aerodynamically..... it may be possible.

Still, EVERY Mooney pilot has learned to make do... until the late 80s... for me, it’s part of the challenge:) and makes up for no CDU 😉

Are you seeing correct voltage and load indications? I suppose not? The WTEngineDisplay.xml from the G36 Improvement project is customized: I used local simvars for voltage and load indications to simulate the load distribution when the buses are tied and associated voltage leak due to the reverse current blocking diodes.

You should use the default WTEngineDisplay.xml from the WT G1000 mod instead!

I have an internal test version with our system modifications and the excellent turbo mod. Some patience please while we figure out how to present our mods with the best of both 🙂.

Hey listen to this man, he knows his stuff more than I do ! 😄

Yes, if you want to have a working "Lean" and "System" for the Turbo G36 you should get the WTEngineDisplay.xml from the WorkingTitle G1000 mod directory ( Community\000-workingtitle-g1000\SimObjects\Airplanes\Asobo_Bonanza_G36\panel\ for me) and not from the "G36 mod" directory.

Anyway as I said, this is a fast hack solution for now, until the mods are updated. The wise man will wait for the new official versions of the mods instead !

(I can't seem to be able to edit my original post ?)

Basic question.

I have V1 installed.

Do I delete it & then install V2, or does V2 require V1 to still be in place?

Thank you

There is a way to do it I think. You could assign a key to the "spoiler" function in FS2020 and you could tweak the flight_model.cfg to include a spoiler, calibrated to be subtle or strong as you wish. But making an animation of it is difficult if not impossible given the current SDK.  If you'd like to PM me I could send you a custom f/m for the purpose. I think the use of addon speed brakes on real turbo-aspirated Bonanzas is extremely rare even though they are available.

As the docs say, it is a replacement for V1, so yes you need to delete V1.

I saw this... moving map with DETAIL and Track Up.... interfaced with Synthetic Vision... all just trying to find the end of 08R at Vancouver- we're headed to Portland in the Turbonormalized Bonanza.  So, for all those bemoaning the slow progress of development in MSFS... there are efficacious salves you can apply to your wounds, to ease the wait...give them a try.

Heck, if the likes of @robert young et al are in the game- so am I.

I am a little slow, WHO is our guy to talk to about Lean and System stuff for the G36?  I'm ready to start him his own "donate" button.  We need a better Mixture system for sure.

The screenshots took a bit of artistic license to perhaps exaggerate the ambient lighting to show it off. Running the mod it depends how much contrast and gamma you have, and also the "aerosol" settings influence how the lighting comes across. I've inserted the lights to emulate a kind of virtual logo/surface splash of the kind you get on many airliners. Any actual GA aircraft owner can add lighting to the standard nav and beacon lights and often do.

Got it! And thanks for the heads up and of course all your efforts! I'll definately check it out on the upcoming weekend. :o)
