October 16, 20205 yr I have been flying this P-51 knockoff repaint on the RY Bonanza Turbo and I just discovered that the ATC add your number, but, suppress it on the fuselage and wing does not work. You gonna get it if you add something in the box. I tried having nothing the the box and that is what ATC uses - nothing. When they contact you, it is " " . . . . Hmmm Maybe I need to try a number in the Call Sign box instead. Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
October 16, 20205 yr I am at a loss as to how this thing is allowed off the ground. More than that, it shouldn't be allowed to even taxi! It has no seatbelts fer cri-sakes. It'd be pretty damned good apart from that. 🙂 The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
October 16, 20205 yr There a a few unfinished parts and pieces. Doors don't open so you don't need seatbelts if you can't get into the cabin to sit down. Everybody knows these basic things, Ron. When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .

Is it a pain in the butt to do? Thanks!

Is it a pain in the butt to do? Thanks! It is tough as nails, and a lot of code required. I am fortunate that someone else did all the hard work all I had to do was follow instructions and move the parts and pieces to the correct file locations. This particular repaints using 387 lines of code in the layout.json file, a page and a half of entries in the Texture file, a fairly standard entry in the Aircraft.cfg file, and then you need the actual livery files to pull it all together. Two different guys have said they are working on a simplified method of adding textures. Maybe we just have to keep an eye out for their announcements. When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .

I'm not sure Ron, but, I bet you really didn't fly for an hour. I bet you made a simulated flight and sat in your easy chair for an hour or so and dreamed about flying a Bonanza. Of course, it wouldn't surprise me if you had seatbelts on your flight sim chair. 😁 When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .

Brushes still in the sink soaking in cleaner....leftover from a project in the "other" sim that I've got to hunker down and finish for a friend here that I feel I've let down. Its gonna' happen @HighBypass....as soon as I get my Airbus v .90. 🤣 (kidding aside, if I can't get to for some unforeseen circumstance beyond my control, you will get a full refund I promise!...ok...no more kidding...really. Permission is still given for the nudge privileges I bestowed on you...using it effectively please...I'm old remember, hehe) Other paints in our new sim...TBD. (other than the paint chip updates that everyone can do to make their planes look like this....my custom Mooney ride): Regards, Steve DraGet my paints for MSFS planes at flightsim.to here, and iFly 737s hereDownload my FSX, P3D paints at Avsim by clicking here
October 16, 20205 yr ...the last time I was at KEYW for real, it was in a tired old Cherokee 6... this time I have a shiny new Turbo Normalized G36 as my ride... Key West NAS looks pretty much the same.... not bad for a default sim, with freeware mods - no payware until KEYW... The best moments aboard any aeroplane are the seconds before translational lift surprises you, and the seconds before the flat line in your descent arrives. What I mean by that, is on really, really good simulations, the ones and zeros become an amorphous flux, and instead of feeling as though you were trundling down the runway and then you were flying, you can't really tell when flight began. There's a seamless, non linear, completely natural translation with momentary surprise... evoking THAT FEELING the first time you controlled a flying machine that separated you from Terra Firma- pure magic! Wanna feel that- fly this mod. In the same way, when landing, you're concentrating on taking out drift (did I mention that forward slips in this aeroplane are a sheer delight?), reducing descent and working pitch and power... and then begins that long luxurious moment in calm air, when you revert to pure feel, when your being extends to the wingtips and you can feel the last moments of flight slipping out of your metal body, until surprisingly you realize that you have once again become a mere earthbound mortal- pure magic! Wanna feel that- FLY THIS MOD! Ta Rob! C PS- @kaosfere loving 3.01- thanks for working in concert with other developers- we are all benefiting from your music! And for my information how would one regenerate json file manually? Thanks getting old yuck Steve
