 My pleasure Iván!

The Traffic Toolbox is part of the P3D SDK and adds an explorer. I mainly use its explorer function to delete traffic if needed. Other tools might do the same job. Further, you can also send key commands with the explorer (e.g., thrust 70 %) to get waiting AI moving again.

The AI_SlopedRunways.dll is another little tool by Federico (fs1). It allows AI to taxi on sloped structures that were made with hard platforms. Examples for that are the taxiway bridges in EDDF, EDDP, MMUN or the sloped runway in KFLL. You can download the latest version here:

I thank you Christoph, great contribution for us.

I will try all the addons you shared with us as soon as I can and I will definitely enjoy it.

Regards

I have a question about ATC models. Is there a comprehensive list of model abbreviations what ATCAPI recognizes?

From above I found  @Wolkenschreck entry: ATCModel>A343,A359,A35K,A388,B744,B748,B772,B77L,B77W,MD11</ATCModel> ...

But what would I use for 747 freighters or  any other freighters? I want to define KMIA RW 12/30  exclusively for freighters, is this possible?

The ATCMODEL entry does read the the atc_model line of the aircraft.cfg:

[General]
atc_type=BOEING
atc_model=B744

Thus, for freighters you could change the line to atc_model=B74F and add it to your ATCAPI config.

Best,
Christoph

For AIController I basically use default settings. However I turn Separation off  (0) and also the Holding options to (0).  And turn enhanced mode off.

I have problem with AIController. When i set every path for p3d v45, include Sid and Star, AIController gives me error with compiling scenery (i set correct path for them).

Google is your friend! 😉

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_aircraft_type_designators

Mind you, though those are the official ones, listing 74T, 74X, 74Y, 74V for 747 freighters of different series, there's no guarantee that the aircraft models supplied for the sim have the correct ones defined in their Aircraft.CFG, so you do still need to check there.

Ok. There’s a big topic dedicated to AI controller here at Avsim. Maybe you can check there.

Hi all,

Just found out with this thread that AIController and AI Separation are still able to be used in P3D... Didn't know that. But now I have some very nice set-up for traffic spotting!

Combination of AIController, AIsep, and ATCAPI gives me at Lisbon:

- AIcontroller makes AI flying STARs

- AIseparation makes sure they are being separated

- ATCAPI makes sure that between every landing a take-off fits in on the same runway

Hello fclaass, could you tell me What is the application you use to see the AI traffic on the map?

Thanks.

Hey @fclaass

I am just writing after installing P3D 5.2 and it seems that ATC API crashes P3D upon loading up a scenario. I am using 1.0.0.2 as that one doesn't reduce FPS but I have also tried the latest and the same happens. Would you be able to look into it please? I will happily help to debug it if needed?

Thank you so much for the work you are doing 🙂

Was about to come here and post this. Doesn't look like it's compatible with 5.2.

Good morning. This is the beta ATCAPI for P3D v5.2

It is backward compatible with all other P3D versions.

Let me know.

Thanks!

You are THE best Federico. Thank you, thank you 😀

I have set

    <taxiSpeedLimiter>35</TaxiSpeedLimiter>
    <runwayTaxiSpeed>50</runwayTaxiSpeed>

But on the runway the ac are very slow. And I think they are not doing more then 30 on the ground?

Please advice, maybe there is a P3D limitation that overrides the "50" digit. I more interested in runway vacation speed

thanx guys!
