November 29, 20205 yr It's fantastic aircraft that I flew a lot in V4.5. Why past tense? Well, they still haven't been able to release a non-beta version for V5, so I'm not flying it at the moment.

I was going to use it in V5.1 HF1, and people say it's quite stable now. PC specs: i5-12400F, RTX 3070 Ti and 32 GB of RAM. Simulators I'm using: X-Plane 12, Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) and FlightGear.

November 29, 20205 yr Funny you should ask ... I bought the 717 when it first came out in late 2016 (I think) and flew it infrequently. I've only just started flying it again, and in a word, it's great! I've flown a couple of flights in the past two days, and I don't notice much that's been left out of the FMC. Sounds like a great deal at that price, by the way. Joel Murray @ CYVR (actually, somewhere about halfway between CYNJ and CZBB)

November 30, 20205 yr I don't use it in v5.1, but the devs on the Discord are always active, so you'll never be left wondering for too long! It truly is a fantastic aircraft, and is and absolute steal, especially the sounds and textures are brilliant. Well worth the price
November 30, 20205 yr I've just purchased it for P3D4 and took it for a spin yesterday. The only thing I didn't like is that, for entering data to the CDU via keyboard, any letter that is used as a FSUIPC or PF3 hotkey is not received. December 1, 20205 yr I have just got back into the 717, and I must confess, in P3D4.5 I was not happy with the performance (very High GPU usage) and inconsistent low - mid 20's for FPS. But since upgrading to P3Dv5.1 HF1 I am very pleased. The GPU usage is still there. MSI afterburner is showing an AVG. Usage of between 35% - 45% (I have a modest 1080Ti - 16GB). RAM usage ( modest 16GB here) is around 10GB - 11GB. My AVG. FPS is a consistent 30 - 33, so I am very happy with the 717 in P3Dv5.1 so far. December 1, 20205 yr Great aircraft get it for that price Hope they fix the trueglass issue soon and it won't take a year like it took to fix the CTD issue when changing views... December 1, 20205 yr Well, P3D 5 was released back in April and the 717 still doesn't reliably work in it. I'm honestly underwhelmed by TFDI's support for existing product lines.
December 1, 20205 yr Author Sadly I've missed it 😞 For some reason OrbxDirect stopped working right after I tried to use "purchase as a gift" option, and I'm getting 504 errors since then. I've tried multiple devices and VPNs, with no help. I've reported to the issue to Orbx, but probably it will be too late once it's resolved. I ended up getting FlyJSim 737-200, but thank you for your help.
