December 10, 20205 yr I did not fly there before the US upgrade, but how beautifully rendered this place is, amazing!

December 11, 20205 yr I flew from Molokai to Oahu this evening (not live). Had time set at 16:30. Sun was just reaching horizon. Water was featureless, but that could just be because the Sun was too low Intel [email protected] GHZ. 32 GB RTX 4070 Ti OC
December 11, 20205 yr Are there palm trees? More than a few here and there? Southern California and the small Pacific islands I have gone to have large areas with mostly palm trees, especially beaches and costal areas, but in MSFS those areas have few to no palm trees other than horrible photogrammetry from palm tress that look nothing like palm trees, but are very distracting and unrealistic. And there's tons of huge green deciduous trees all over LA/Southern California that are NOT common in reality. December 11, 20205 yr Will check Hana hwy once I landed the cfbw modded neo in Copenhagen. Need some warmer weather anyway EDIT well nice, flight to Hana PHHN took me 12 mins in the TBM, water pretty calm despite live weather Edited December 11, 20205 yr by DAD Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"

My issue has always been with the water colors in the tropics. MSFS
December 11, 20205 yr Flew there last night and turned the wind up to see how much lift I was getting off the mountains. Not as much lift as I was expecting from a 20 knot wind though TBH. Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)
December 11, 20205 yr The first place I flew when I bought the sim was around Maui. For 25 years I visited to free-dive the SW coast. I was hugely disappointed to see how barren the whole area looked. Maybe we only get the masks streamed when we use live Wx? My flight last PM did give me a great replication of the refracted, split Sun that you sometimes see on the horizon of the ocean when filtered through thin clouds. This title deals you disappointments and then turns around and throws something spectacular at you. It’s definitely a love/hate relationship! Intel [email protected] GHZ. 32 GB RTX 4070 Ti OC
