Professor Higgins did wonders for Eliza Doolittle.  Perhaps he could do the same for the rest of us who 'don't talk proper English'.

The tires are worn.  The shocks are shot.  The steering is wobbly.  But the engine still runs fine.

Yup, as with most flight sims if you zoom the view out too much whilst over Barcelona, the rain in Spain stays mainly on the plane.

That will have gone over many a head. 🙂

Only if your nation didn't invent English. If, like me, you are a citizen of a nation that invented the language, and thus know what you're taking about, it is in fact the wrong way to pronounce the word.

So you are a German then? 🤣

You do know it was what we would now in modern times refer to geographically as 'Germans' who 'invented' English. Right?

Not that it was really invented, like most languages, it's more a case of it having developed from a Frisian/Low Saxon language and then having been further altered over the years by numerous other influences. So for those who like trivia, English actually gets its name from Anglia, a place in Schleswig-Holstein on the coast of the Baltic Sea where those people who migrated to England and took their original language with them, originally came from, to settle in what is now England.

West German. Of course, all British people are. Well at least 30% if I remember correctly. . 30% our DNA is Anglo Saxon. . But you arent supposed to tell the Americans that.

You weren't supposed to take "we invented it" seriously, silly people. This ridiculous exchange was supposed to be in jest.

Even as an Englishman, I sometimes find "NU-KILLER" to be acceptable in a Slim Pickens accent.. ESPECIALLY when going toe-to-toe with the ROOSKIES , when playing this fun little game paying homage to the classic the Dr. Strangelove movie. Wargames by their nature can be offensive and this may not be to everyone's taste, but just in case:
