This morning I set up parking scenario for my ultralight at the Hang 'Em High hang glider and ultralight runway in the Return to Misty Moorings bush scenery for P3Dv5.  Something seems amiss here with a cabin hanging in the sky.

We open on the briefing room of Space Command Headquarters on planet Klaaaptoid VII. Excited chatter among the assembled personnel quickly dies down as the Commander walks up to the podium...

Commander Thaaarg: I know you're all keen to know what our mission is, so I'll come straight to the point. After all our hard training and months of preparation, I can now reveal the precise details of our mission, and believe me, it could not be more critical. Gentlemen, our destination...

The viewscreen behind the Commander flashes into life, revealing a picture of Planet Earth. An excited murmur flows around the room as the assembled crew take in the picture and recognise the location.

Commander Thaaarg: Alright, settle down men. That's right, we are going to Earth, where we will fly around, occasionally making some really sharp turns, and every once in a while, we will land in the middle of nowhere, confuse a few rednecks, possibly probing them up the jacksie for no discernable reason whatsoever, to ensure they will never be believed by anyone.

We might also tell them that they have been chosen for a very special purpose, in order to reveal some important fact to the people of their planet, and then we will never contact them ever again. We will also never wear any clothes when contacting these people, in spite of being a highly advanced space-faring race exploring a potentially hostile environment, where protection would normally be a good idea.

Our reconnaissance craft have pre-selected several potential visitees, all of whom have extremely poor quality cameras, which will guarantee that any photographs they take of us will not be believed, or regarded as amateurish fakes.

And of course, since remaining largely undetected by the authorities of Earth is vitally important, naturally we will be putting loads of flashing lights all over our saucer craft, and making it look completely impractical, by attaching all kinds of things to it which serve no purpose whatsoever.

Flight Sergeant Klaaatuu: But Sir, what about Space Directive 27, which states that we should not interfere with the people of planets in an early stage of development whom have yet to perfect interstellar travel and which have not made contact with other races in the galaxy?

Commander Thaaarg: Well of course Directive 27 is important Sergeant, but we wouldn't want to let something like that get in the way of us all having a really good laugh now, would we?

Hm.  Considering that this is the Hang 'Em High hang glider and ultralight runway and the amount of - vapor - issuing from that cabin, can we really be sure that's not intentional? 😄
