April 17, 20215 yr I am right now flying over Nevada toward California at 20 500 feet with the FI Spit'. So she flies higher than 15K 😀. 1/ Did you reset your mixture and prop levers at their proper level if you went out of the game with ESC ? 2/ Before reaching 15K are the oil and engine temps in range ? 3/ and sorry to ask but that happens to the best of us 😁, you had enough fuel to begin with ? Sounds continue and the prop keeps turning but temperatures drop to zero. Tried fiddling with the supercharger switch but that won't bring it back to life. Second time it's happened now. The fact it's happening at about 15 thou definitely points to fuel vaporisation. You're absolutely sure you're turning this one on (Fuel Pressurisation) ; item number 22 from the pic in the manual.

Hmmm... can't rule out mixture and prop from the Esc bug but if the engine died through too lean mixture, surely it would catch again when reset? Definitely setting the red fuel pressurisation cock. Whatever the failure is, it's terminal on the engine because it won't restart. Ts and Ps are all normal passing through 14,000ft: ~110 C on the rad and somewhere around 70 C oil. Oil pressure was present throughout - even after the failure! Fuel sufficient, this is within 10 minutes of takeoff at 50% load. Climb power set: first time 2,850rpm/8lbs boost, second time 2650rpm and 12lbs boost, climbing at 160mph indicated both times. Might try reinstalling and see if that cures it... i7-10700K; RTX 2070 Super; 16GB; P3Dv4.5HF3 & MSFS2020.
April 17, 20215 yr Idiotic question: in @Will Fly For Cheese's picture above, is the fuel tank pressurisation cock on or off? If it's off then I may have solved the problem...😬 i7-10700K; RTX 2070 Super; 16GB; P3Dv4.5HF3 & MSFS2020.
April 17, 20215 yr No, my fault: the one thing I didn't try was recycling the cock to see if that helped. Guess what I just did! edit to add - I assumed in that picture because the bulk of the cock handle was on the same side as 'on' that meant it was switched on, ignoring that the body of the handle points like an arrow at 'off'... Big handle - small pointer. Bad bit of design - but then, designed to be turned from below the cock - to the right. (Hence the expression -"Right On") If you'll excuse the expression 🙂 Edited April 17, 20215 yr by Will Fly For Cheese
