EACH TIME they released a broken build there were significant repercussions: we still deal with the consequences.

Is this a joke or what?

The same group that's whinging over the delay would have been the first to decry "how could MS/Asobo have put this out with so many glaring issues!!@@!?"  If they don't think its ready, then most here probably wouldn't have either.  C'est la vie.

Its awesome to see Gen X & Boomers taking on the instant gratification characteristics of the "gaming class"

Your wrong, it's not the delay in the release of the update that's upset people, if they discovered a major problem they should have let us know earlier, and we would have done something more productive.

Well if you're complaining about not being able to play a flight sim, then you weren't exactly on a track to do anything incredibly productive then were you?  And what about the 195 million square miles that arent part of the UK update?

I find the overreaction adorable, but also a bit predictable if I'm honest.

So, are we going to get February AIRAC in March as well?

They let us know as soon as they could. It was a last minute decision, so probably up to the announcement of the delay they thought they could do it.

The sheer amount of entitlement on display here is just mind-blowing - grow up, kids!

What do you not understand? I'm not annoyed about the third delay to the update, it's purely that people have set time aside to get the sim working with the latest build number, with major bug fixes etc. Asobo must have known that there was major issues and there was zero chance of it dropping anytime soon (otherwise it would release tomorrow), and just let us assume that it was still releasing today because of no communication from the devs.

If I performed like that in my job and if a HP turbine/Fan Disc couldn't be released to an airline because of a fault and I never told anyone I'd be threatened with the sack especially as sometimes we have £1M a day penalty clauses for late delivery.

I bet it takes 5 days to get any fix run through Microsoft's QA process.

Asobo doesn't have the flexibility to just push out whatever they want (for better or for worse)

Ah well. More time to fiddle in anticipation.

I wonder what's so different about this one.

I guess its the inability to distinguish the severity between a flightsim patch being delayed a few days and the failure to deliver a physical aircraft part in a real world supply chain that brings endless entertainment and popcorn worthy moments to forums like these...

Studies have shown that the ability to accept delayed gratification is a common trait of highly successful people....just food for thought.

It's all part of having a professional communication protocol to your customer. If a customer has up to date information they are usually more understanding. Being left in the dark, and not knowing of any potential major problems for possible delays is usually what causes confidence in any promised delivery date going forward.
