February 11, 20215 yr Five days of schedule slip over the seven days since the last reported date.....eight weeks since the last update to the sim, eight weeks of scenery spikes....doesn't bode well for the future update cadence. Telling customers that a milestone delivery is delayed on the day it was supposed to come out is generally frowned upon as well. Also all the people who insist that World Update work doesn't impact the Sim Update work are clearly wrong, since we should have had Sim Update III by now. Clearly they are tied together because of the way Asobo branches their versions, per the comment in the last Dev Q&A Edited February 11, 20215 yr by marsman2020 AMD 3950X | 64GB RAM | AMD 5700XT | CH Fighterstick / Pro Throttle / Pro Pedals

HAHA I remember when i complained about how its not professional to disclose a known delay on the due date and got hazed for it. You telling me they didnt know since 24hours ago that this was going to get delayed again ?. Oh well iv'e been conditioned to not care anymore since today's norms indicate its now acceptable practice. Have fun till Tuesday! February 11, 20215 yr They learned to not release massive updates, without QA stamp. Hopefully some day they will learn the concept of hot-fixing. And then replacing the enthusiastic amateurish communication with a professional one. Bit surprising lack of know how in a global software corporation.
February 11, 20215 yr The same group that's whinging over the delay would have been the first to decry "how could MS/Asobo have put this out with so many glaring issues!!@@!?" If they don't think its ready, then most here probably wouldn't have either. C'est la vie. Its awesome to see Gen X & Boomers taking on the instant gratification characteristics of the "gaming class"
February 11, 20215 yr If they weren't confident of the build passing QA then they shouldn't have told us it was coming out on the 11th. With a 4 week cycle between updates, there should be no day-before QA failures anymore. AMD 3950X | 64GB RAM | AMD 5700XT | CH Fighterstick / Pro Throttle / Pro Pedals
