You still don't get it.

The value of the item promised has nothing to do with it at the end of the day. I could promise to mow your lawn for free next week Saturday and not show up or promise to provide you a loan to close on a home. The point was a hard promise was made with due dates. If you can't meet the promise common courtesy (at least where I come from) would indicate that you let that person know asap that you are unable to fulfill and not wait till the deadline.

But hey if you are ok with people or companies not coming through for you and telling you on the day of. Have at it.

As some people say .. you do you! 

I would also withhold judgement on how people use their time. Not good form and doesn't lend to positive conversation.

This is taken directly from the development update last week (bold emphasis was mine):

"We anticipate that the update will be ready for you on February 11th and the team appreciates your continued patience and understanding."

Maybe it's just me, but  "anticipate" and "promise" have very different meanings.

Date was set regardless.

If you find you can't meet it let the other parties know asap.

Accountabiltiy and accepting responsibility is huge with me.. Its ok to have a differing opinion though.

I'm pretty sure they know how to communicate with their own team(s).  Sometimes things happen at the last minute, or you can't make a decision until the last minute for various reasons.

I'm sure they let the relevant parties know as soon as they knew it. 

Let's leave the speculation out of it.

I work in this industry sir. This isn't last minute. and if it was. As i had stated months before.. the process needs improvement. Not going further into that.

@Ray Proudfoot...I believe its time. 😉

 

I agree that there are a few threads that could be merged, but why do people ask for them to be closed down? You could just skip over them if your arent interested.

You wrongly assume that I've been at work in the last few hours posting on here etc, get your facts right, I'm now finished work for four days as I've been on nightshift making sure critical engine parts are fit to fly and not going to kill anyone, it's a serious profession I work in, with a lot of responsibility. So no if I was Inspecting any component that goes into a jet engine it gets the respect it deserves ie. 100% of my attention.
