February 11, 20215 yr I am most interested to see which terrain fixes will still be needed after this update in both the UK and the U.S.. We know terrain spikes are supposed to be fixed, but what about the many elevation issues in many of the rivers, such as the Missouri in the U.S.? Will they still be needed? We'll have to see... Ken

I’ve never ever removed anything from the community folder and I’ve never had a problem with any updates. I’m sure some people just create their own problems.

I have never removed anything from the Community folder since the Aug, worse case, I just remove things like A32x .. etc, or special things mesh fix. Even at the worse case scenario, what would happen? Nothing, just remove the conflicting file and you are done and life goes on :D. I’ve never ever removed anything from the community folder and I’ve never had a problem with any updates. I’m sure some people just create their own problems. It kind of depends. We know these updates usually break the A320nx on a routine basis and occasionally the WT stuff as well. Scenery .. not very often. So if i had the addons that mod the base aircraft or mods that affects how the sim works on a global level i would be cautious and unlink those and bring it back online one by one just to make sure there are no conflicts. Local area related stuff like airports and localized scenery. meh .. that can remain. In my case I'm still pretty much default install with no addons to speak of except for a few liveries, the tree mod and the bonanza (without the garmin mod) so i usually don't bother to start unlinking or moving anything. February 11, 20215 yr I’ve never removed payware and have only ever removed freeware mods, not scenery. Now that I use an addon linker (only enabling what i need to use on a given flight) I’ll just disable all links, do the update and go on from there. February 11, 20215 yr A bit late again, hope it's not another no show. Every update that has gone through has always been between just after 4pm for me, other than the one cancelled. February 11, 20215 yr the issue with unlinking the linker entries is, I have unlinked almost all non airport city enhancement addons. so if I unlink all, now I have the issue of what scenery I need to link back. Is there way to save the linked object and then reupload that? LOL 🙂 Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter

Flying short hops into and out of UK and EU airports is great, especially as they are roughly in my time zone. Wonder if they will ever get to Africa... the largest airport on the continent (FAOR Johannesburg) looks plain fugly and there has not been any freeware or payware to address the sad situation. 😉 GregH Intel Core i7 14700K / Palit RTX4070Ti Super OC / Corsair 32GB DDR5 6000 MHz / MSI Z790 M/board / Corsair NVMe 9500 read, 8500 write / Corsair PSU1200W / CH Products Yoke, Pedals & Quad; Airbus Side Stick, Airbus Quadrant / TrackIR, 32” 4K 144hz 1ms Monitor
