I have had one crash in maybe 6 or 7 flights, but never two crashes on one 100 mile flight.

Thats a bummer, Do you fly other sims? If so are they giving you any issues?

Hmmm. Well sounds like system is stable then. How much video ram do you have? Any other recent changes, system overclock?

Rebooted PC after patch. First flight from EGNC to EGLC. Taxi halfway out and A  CDT.  😝

I had the same with my first flight from Orbx Dundee with the CGL file back in place. Half way down the runway and CTD. Cleared cache, then re-enabled rolling cache. Switched to a default aircraft and this time could taxi and take off fine, quick circuit and back in and land.
Might be worth clearing cache if you haven’t done so and try again?

Ryzen 9800X3D, RTX 5090, 64GB, Win 11. MSFS2020. Moza, MFG, Fulcrum & Virpil controllers. Quest 3 for VR.

How do you do that, haven't played around with that in MS 2020

Well congrats on the new system. You mentioned 16 Gig dual channel that would be system ram, I was curious about your video card ram amount. MSFS similar to P3D V5 likes a lot of video ram. Something to try would be lower your settings to medium and try the same flight, if it works you may be running out of video ram with previous settings. Just for fun I will try the same flight later and report back to see if I can get a CTD.

Settings > General > Data

Delete rolling cache - will disable the rolling cache if enabled. Once done, turn rolling cache back on. Apply/save changes then restart MSFS and try again.

5600 XT with 6 Gigs of vram. I saw that my V ram was running around 93%. I turned three setting down from high to medium. Terrain Vector-Buildings and Trees. Now Vram is at 83%. I will see what happens.

Bob it did say in the release notes and listed as #1, I hope this helps you.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR THIS UPDATE:

  1. If you are using the manual cache feature, please make sure to delete it via the in-game menu and create an updated version as we performed some backend technical updates.

OK, I had rolling cache turned on ( didn't realize that) I turned it off and deleted the Cache Manual cache is grayed out in the menu, so I guess I am not using that.

Made the same flight, no problem. I noticed that when I turned the settings to medium, my V ram started at around 82% but by the end of the flight it was at 92%. My guess is when I had the starting point of 92,I was probably up around 100% at the end of the flight. I think this may have been my issue.
