February 19, 20215 yr https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/flight-dynamics-bug-details/368499 No hotfix, it will go in the next sim update in early march. They do say that a couple of "lift" lines can be halved in the airplane config files as a work around.
February 19, 20215 yr https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/flight-dynamics-bug-details/368499 the short of it, they accidentally doubled the amount of lift that flaps generate by including code not meant for this update, and it won't be fixed until Sim Update 3 in early March. For now if you want, you can edit the flight model file for the aircraft you desire and divide the lift in half. It wasn't caught by QA because there were no flight model changes meant for this world update, so they weren't looking for it. Edited February 19, 20215 yr by Tuskin38
February 19, 20215 yr Sorry for the dumb question, but which/where are the file(s) and what lines are to be edited. Thanks for any info.

February 19, 20215 yr They made a mistake, showed transparency in describing it, and then offered a workaround until the upcoming patch. Game developers take note. Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory. The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire. It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.
February 19, 20215 yr So, do you change both "lift_coef_flaps" and "lift_scalar" or just 1 of them? The DA62 had both. MSFS 2024. Primary Planes: Black Square TBM850, Duke, Baron, Caravan; A2A Comanche; FSReborn Phenom; Fexix A321; PMDG 737-7, 777: Utilities: Active Sky (Passive Mode); BATC, FSLTL.

February 19, 20215 yr @Tuskin38 thanks for the info! At least there’s a work around and we don’t have to wait until the next update... Phew 😅!!!
February 19, 20215 yr I assume there is no way to correct for this on third-party aircraft, is that right? The Carenado's seem to have a scrambled CFG. Am I missing something? This is the first glitch introduced by Aboso that I find quite unacceptable. MSFS 2024.
