Either. You simply halve the value. and save. (Notepad is what you use to open .cfg files)

The location varies depending on steam or windows store, or custom installation path. In any case, a good idea for you to work with would be something like:

Quote

\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\Official\Steam\asobo-aircraft-bonanza-g36\SimObjects\Airplanes\Asobo_Bonanza_G36

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

by the way, this is not needed if you already utilize the popular flight dynamic community mods for the TBM and G36

CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB
MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro |  GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K

I assume there is no way to correct for this on third-party aircraft, is that right? The Carenado's seem to have a scrambled CFG. Am I missing something?

This is the first glitch introduced by Aboso that I find quite unacceptable.

Wondering the same. I mostly fly the mods to the stock aircraft. Do they build on the default flight model, so I need to change it to get them working again?

It doesn’t seem to affect 3PD aircraft, or at least not as much.

For instance, I was able to fly, and more important land, the Carenado 182 in lieu  of my usual Caravan for SkyPark.

For the unmodded  TBM930 it means  to set

lift_coef_flaps = 1.03210  to 0.51605   in the  [AERODYNAMICS] section

lift_scalar = 1.64  to 0.82     in the [FLAPS.0] section

??

Interesting, so if the issue is related to flaps specifically, aircraft that take off without flaps should be unaffected?

Appreciate the heads up on this, nice that it’s a simple fix until it can be patched out.

Have to wonder why Asobo can't roll out a hotfix to do this on the default aircraft, then simply restore the original once the core issue is fixed.

Yeah, but not all landings can be done without flaps... that was my issue.

Bringing in the Caravan into a mountain top gravel strip requires flaps... and any take off with flaps is ridiculous, airborne at 30 Kts!

Oh yeah for sure, landings are a whole different ball of wax!

On the bright side, if you ever wanted to try and operate a 747 out of a 2000 foot runway now’s your chance 😁

Does this have to be done for the Community Mad mod the XCub Performance+ v1.8.2?

Sorry for the dumb question, but which/where are the file(s) and what lines are to be edited. Thanks for any info.

Not a dumb question because I have the same one 🙂

Shouldn't there be an "or" in between lines 2 & 3?
