With the latest version of Orbx Central you can decide where to store your Orbx libary, it will then create links to the community folder

I would rather decide where to put it and have MSFSaddonLinker link it. That way, I can turn it on/off as needed along with all my other mods handled by addonlinker. This is why I asked how Orbx handles the stuff they install.

What I basically asking is if I can install it to community folder, then move that install out to my addons folder, then use addonlinker to handle it and it'll work just like all other mods?

I don't know what I'm doing wrong! I tried T-45 before and update simupdate 3. My second flight was cross county from KLAS to KSAN. I used 50% of fuel and barely made it to KPSP. I can't cruise less 90% rpm as speed drops to 150 kts. Very strange.

You can have Orbx install it to any folder you want.   If you then add that folder to the ones being watched by the addon linker, the addon linker can handle them just fine.  Same goes for FSDT addons just tell addon linker to watch that folder as well and all is good.

Or you could just tell Orbx to use the same folder as your other addons from the linker. Either way, so long as Orbx Central knows where you put them so it can do updates it is all good.

What I do is have all my Orbx stuff installed into one their library folder (which is on a different SSD to my MSFS installation). When I install a new Orbx product it stores the actual product in the library folder but puts a symlink/junction (can't remember which) into the community folder.

But I have no actual data in my community folder, everything is in a folder structure headed "MSFS Addons" which is managed via the addons linker. So I then create a new folder within my addons folder for the new Orbx product (e.g. \MSFS Addons\Aircraft\T45) and then in that folder I create a symlink to the actual T45 folder in the Orbx library folder (NOT to the link Orbx has already created in the Community folder). Once this is done I just delete the Orbx created community folder link and away we go. The addons linker determines whether or not I use the T45 in a session and Orbx has still got control over the original folder for updates. The only thing you have to watch for in this scenario is that if Orbx does an update to the product it will create another link in the community folder which would mean the product was always on the sim and no longer under the control of the addons linker. No problem, just delete the new link from the community folder after the product update.

It's a lot simpler than it possibly reads, and once set up it works a treat. I do the same thing for all products (FSDT etc) that install stuff in their own directories and supply their own symlinks. There is absolutely no actual code in my community directory, and all the working links to all my addons are kept in my addons folder structure. And just for the hell of it, I move all addons I buy in the Marketplace out of the Official folder and deal with them in the same way.

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

This plane looks great and I'm very interested - oddly it seems to not have a very long life as a thread on the first page of the forum like others.

I'd love to use this a regular flyer in live weather so could anyone who owns it please comment on the IFR capabilities?  I realize there's no AP or Garmin (which is a nice change of pace actually)  but can I shoot an instrument ILS approach with what's available in the HUD or MFD instrumentation?  How are the icing and raindrop effects?

Nice bird. It would be nice for x-country and sight-seeing flights to have an autopilot.
