I'm not sure that's the reason the LOD has reduced - there are many theories.

Hmm, this thing is turning into FLIGHT.  If Asobo doesn’t get this thing stable, stop screwing with it every month, and get some developers who actually have a perspective about flying/simming the only thing happening this year is people leaving this title in droves.  Asobo is now killing the main selling point of this sim, performance and visuals for GA (let alone Airline flying).  Every month modders are back at the drawing board, what kind of future is that?  This is sad but having contractors in the code cookie jar every month never works.  It doesn’t work on my job or anywhere I’ve seen this.  These hacks aren’t simmers.  Having a company constantly hacking on a product is akin to having Boeing in real time changing code while the plane is at 37,000ft with over 200 people are on board.  That’s not a comfortable prospect in the confidence of the product department.

Let the product breath for few months.  What we had prior to this patch worked.  They could have had free testers from this community (that Asobo actually listens to) test the code and Sim Update 3 could have been released in May.  We could have still had the UK update and France because those don’t break things.  

So whatever surprises you’re referring to is mute if the performance of the sim is word not allowed having people chase their tails like FSX and the sim looks like word not allowed on top of that. The sad part now is at least with FSX your tweaks weren’t broken in the next month.  I never thought it could get worse than FSX.  I refuse to change my core W10 virtual memory settings for a sim that ran perfectly fine a week ago but that’s what people are doing now.  The desperation is troubling and Asobo shouldn’t jerk with the community like this.  People love this hobby, have some respect for that.😡

 I vote but the slider shall take into account more than 10 miles choices 😉 

fsblog-trees-draw-distance-fix is working fine and increase the distance but slightly according to BIJAN HABASHI - 4 SEASON PACK V4.01. Bijan any idea about what make the trick ?

I get better performance with fsblog fix than Bijan's, but I have only try his 4.0, I should try his 4,1 tonight.

I haven't tried the fsblog one so I cannot judge.  I am not sure which you said gives you better distance.

@Ixoye Keep in mind mine is not just LOD. It's whole new ecosystem with season and with over 45 species and much larger xml data compare to fsblog with only stock trees and 5 trees and all same color.

I see any LOD trick or tweak in fsblog-trees-draw-distance-fix LOD is not the way. I change LOD with your piece of software and it changes nothing. Solution is elsewhhere

You posted a video showing how it increased. I am confused now but what you're saying and what you're showing.

Bijan - I have to say that this thread is turning in to a bit of a platform on which you are simply marketing your Payware product whereas it started as a technical thread on how we might overcome the problems with the two Freeware Fixes that are circulating with the new Asobo Update - for those who don't wish to spend money fixing it!

I'm sure if you ask the powers that be they'll give you a free support thread for your Payware as you are, after all a Commercial Member.

Show me one place I asked anyone to buy my mod. People asked questions and I simply answered.  I even encouraged to try  a fix with eth free fsblog tree mod. So please don't accuse or assume anything.

I'm not. Please. I meant no offence or any kind of attack or anything. I'm just saying that every time someone posts you seem to have a video of your product ready to go, report on how you're getting on with your product, etc. It just looks like you're marketing. Which is fine - Go for it! but please, not on this thread.

The 2 Free fixes and your Payware each appear to get us to 10 Miles of trees one way or the other - whichever of the three you use.

But Ioxye started this thread about one particular Freeware Fix that stopped working as expected after the last Update, to try and fix it for free and make tree loveliness as far as the horizon good again - for free.

After three days of trial and error and possibly some dozens of restarts I give up. Although, some miles in visibility range could be be won, the performance costs are too high. Together with the other performance issues/stutters (see other threads), this sim is no longer for me. It's time for a break. My airliners are waiting in P3D.
