March 11, 20215 yr I'm really not happy today !I can't do a vfr flight in these dire MSFS representation. XP11 with ORBX TrueEarth are doing better than MSFS in this area: No trees popping here and trees as far as the eye can see.

I've been taking a glance at your posts throughout the day, today - whilst others of us have been trying to sort out the problems - your posts are not helpful, they're not particularly interesting and, if you don't mind me saying, are thoroughly in the classification of Troll. Keep your screenshots to yourself - they're not contributing anything to this Thread whatsoever.

March 11, 20215 yr Yeah, this update has pushed my tolerance a sliver beyond the serenity buffer which my dry martini usually affords. i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea

Assuming he is a paying customer and not a dev, and he had a more functioning product a few months ago, is it really his job to "sort out the problems"? How would he go about doing that? Not an attack or anything, I just don't know what else we are to do but whinge when Asobo seem to be slowly dismantling a sim we've spent a lot of money on.
March 12, 20215 yr I'm surprised Asobo hasn't released and emergency patch to fix this. They promised trees as far out as the eye could see in past podcasts. Now it's so much more important now that VR is a reality in the sim. Because of the promise made by non other than the CEO of Asobo I was expecting a statement they'd be fixing this in a few days. It's clear someone screwed up but to say nothing about it is flat out wrong. Someone went so far as to not only break this feature but block any modding, that's just plain wrong. Very surprised at how this is being handled... 🥺 Trees LOD after Sim Update 3, no fun anymore! - Bugs & Issues / Scenery - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums Edited March 12, 20215 yr by Dillon FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR

I am not sure if Asobo really knows that many users have the issue.

I am not sure if Asobo really knows that many users have the issue. They listen to a certain subset of users. For example they completely ruined night lighting and made it Disney fairy-tale castle land at night because some users wanted pretty lights. They have made waves unrealistically high and rough even on small areas of water for any given wind speed because some users prefer 2 meter waves on every duck pond, even at just 6 knots, for nicer screenshots. In this case I suspect they are responding to complaints from people who are using a generic PC from Walmart, on a 4K TV, with all sim settings at ultra, complaining the sim is too demanding. Instead of making the sim more optimised it is far easier to reduce how high users with low end PCs can slide the settings. Edited March 12, 20215 yr by Glenn Fitzpatrick

Or cliffs and embankments, where the ortho image is stretched along a vertical axis and the texture is popping in, even while the frame rate is a smooth 45 fps with no stutters. It's a different issue from tree LOD but it's still there. X-Plane and Microsoft Flight Simulator on Windows 10 i7 6700 4.0 GHz, 32 GB RAM, GTX 1660 ti, 1920x1200 monitor

I am not sure if Asobo really knows that many users have the issue. Actually I am not sure if Asobo even knows that every user has the issue. Most of users are just ignoring it, not looking into the distance, don't want to spend their time on forum,... For me, it's not acceptable. Autogen buildings has terrible draw distance, textures at distance are completely blurred, PG has problems and now even trees (which was fixed by glitch) have tragic draw distance. Funny thing is, the vegetation draw distance fix had no impact on FPS at all. Lod issues are #1 voted issues for more than half a year and these issues were still not fixed, not even confirmed, they were just denied by developers multiple times... Mockery of thousands of people complaining about this. Just give us 4 sliders for LOD things... Ultra setting, the hill is about 2 miles away...:

It surprised me too and I think that ALL users must have this issue, but some (many?) simply don't care. - Harry 9800x3D (Strix x870e-E) - 64GB RAM (DDR5 6000, CL 30) - RTX 5090, 34'' 1440p OLED HDR - Windows 11 Pro (1TB M.2) - MSFS 2024 (MS Store, 4TB M.2).
