Yes, when I build my home cockpit I started with P3Dv2 and all Ps systems worked right away icw the hardware...

That MSFS is not capable of supporting a home cockpit was known before release. That the SDK was 80+% not operable we only found out after release.

Who releases a game that has that much issues ? And the issues list is growing.

It has been out for just 7 months is no excuse for the half finished game it currently is.

I understand that there are people who threw their former sim out of the window to jump on the MSFS wagon and keep telling how great MSFS is.

But reading this forum and the official MSFS forum more critics are standing up.

Almost all attention now goes to the XBox version.
What ! ?
Fix the issues with the pc base version first !If that is working good enough then start with other platforms .

The 787, De Luxe aircraft (cost more !) is still not working normal.

Sure, I keep flying in P3D but I also have MSFS and I want it to succeed  but up to now this is not the way to go...😤

People whole run cockpit are like a 1 in 50000. We had more update on MSFS in 7 months that we did in P3D v5 and P3D v4 combine.  It had to wait M HF2 patch to fix CYVR which had a pretty major visual glitch.  This was broken when P3D v5 was launch.  I think I am going to stick with Asobo. I have more faith in them than I do with LM.

I saw a Youtube review of P3D V 5 last night. It looked horrible. The skies all looked like yellow pea soup. The reviewers comments at the end of the video were sure not flattering.

LOL...

Yes, we had more updates in 7 months than is P3D .

But ...with every update new things were added and also multiple existing things were broken. Too much has been broken.

Look for a good vid. There are plenty. Instead of looking for vids that look terrible.

@GSaldenI know there will always be some hardcore simmer who will ride the P3D ship until it dies but once PMDG will be in MSFS, P3D population will plummet.

I can fly full VFR out of the box.  And with a couple free mods I have working FMS/flight plans and Garmins.  If the SDK is missing 80% that hasn’t stopped everyone so far.

Simple : what you are flying does not need that much systems ..

There actually are some nice looking vids out there.  But you need a beast PC and $$$ to make it so.

The CJ4 mod from WT gives you full systems capability.  Weather radar though is woefully inadequate, but it’s being worked on.  What else are you looking for?

You have a lot of phantasy... 🤣

P3D will exist long after the 10 years of MSFS support. Why ? It is used in the professional aviation world.

LM does not need armchair pilots as their target isn’t us...

it doesn't make it less archaic and antiquated. But whatever make you feel better at night because you are part of the armchair pilots and yes LM doesn't give AF about you. Thanks for confirming that.

These are simple systems. Not comparable with complex airliners.

PMDG does not work in MSFS as many features they need are not present in MSFS.
Sure, they want to come to the MSFS market too but Asobo need to step up their work on the systems/sdk.

And Prosim is even further less compatible...

PMDG has recently announced that there is no longer any SDK limitations that prevents their airliners coming to MSFS.

PC specs: i5-12400F, RTX 3070 Ti and 32 GB of RAM.

Simulators I'm using: X-Plane 12, Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) and FlightGear.

Straight from RSR

I have been mostly-mis-quoted ten thousand times this week as having said something along the lines of "the MSFS SDK isn't capable of supporting what we do" or "MSFS isn't capable of supporting what we do." I want to be very clear in stating that this new sim is highly dynamic and changing continually. What may have been true in June of 2020 is not necessarily true any longer. From the standpoint of development, we are not currently seeing any major limitations to prevent us from bringing our product catalog into MSFS.
