April 12, 20215 yr Since MSFS came out I've been flying that, but lately I have wanted to fly many aircraft I have in P3D v4.5 that are not yet available in MSFS. I have noticed coming back to P3D v4.5 that my set up has noticeably less 'dynamism' in the sky & ground lighting, than MSFS. The P3d sky & ground look fairly bland Without having to go to P3D v5.1, what products could, [I will probably regret saying this], make my P3D v4.5 look more like MSFS? Inject some dynamism into it? Textue replacements: A free and decent grass texture that looks and performs great. https://drzewiecki-design.net/prodDD_GrassX.htm A free replacement moon and stars. https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/569538-grew-tired-of-the-moon-and-sun/ A payware replacment texure package, I use Rex Texure Direct with Soft Coulds, but there is also Toga Projects Envtxt and probably others. Weather: Active Sky Next (for realtime, historical or weather of your own design). Real Turb (uses active sky next api to inject turbulance into the sim). Navigation: GPS2020 (AVSIM library) GTN 650/750 (either F1 or RXP) MAP (either Little Nav map or GPlan) NAV Updates for sim. https://www.aero.sors.fr/navaids3.html Additionals #1: Banking camera (AVSIM library, banks the VC view in line with actual banking). Edit Voice Pack (because the default ATC can at least use the latest phrasing) https://editvoicepack.com/ FS Reborn (visibility of AI craft is hugely improved). TimeZone Fixer (from SimElite). If you want beautiful ground textures, then ORBX TE should be considered. MSFS
