The Longitude With Mods Is A Winning Combination

Why?

Please explain how you arrived at this number.....

LOL - number of times I select the CJ4 over the Longitude, despite the fact that given my personal preference I would normally choose the Longitude over the CJ4 if both models were as "complete"...

In what way do you notice the CJ4 is better?
I am using the longitude with FDE fix...

Let's see: VNAV, autopilot works much better, waypoint sequencing works properly (although Longitude is imroving), custom waypoints, ability to add visual approaches into the fms, far more systems functionality, and finally VNAV - because it's worth mentioning twice.

Neither is perfect, and I'm sure the functionality will get into the C700 at some point, but for me it's not there yet.....

Edit: Missed the biggest one:::: No CAS in the C700...

I am with you, The longitude feels a bit rough compare to the more polish CJ4.

I don't care about VNAV much, I don't recall any real issues with adding waypoints in the Longitude, but not sure.
With mods, the Longitude is pretty complete.

It's really not, for that matter neither is the CJ4 - but they're both improving and far better than anything freely available in previous versions of the sim....

....very much doubt that the WT guys would count either as complete given that they're still adding features...

....not a criticism of either as they're still under development, just the CJ4 is further along.

I miss an ambulance livery. I use the excellent Red Cross one, but is not the same, and I do not want to transport big robbers with suit and tie.

Who says you have to transport the suit and tie crowd?  Currently I am flying a group of nymphomaniac cheerleaders to a series of global summits on sectional addiction.  Their travel needs are insatiable!!!

What I do is I set vs, once settled into the climb I switch to flc. Upon reaching my desired cruise altitude, I engage the at.

I do this as well a lot of the time and it works fine.  The other way to do that is to just engage AP fairly early after TO and when you hit 220kn or whatever climb speed your after just hit FLC then provided your in the ball park of a climb rate that AP w/ FLC can maintain, else it will pop out of FLC.  As you mention if you're 'settled' into a good climb rate FLC will hold.  IOW, I often skip the VS part and just control throttle manually until settled around a climb rate that it can handle in FLC mode.

Just a little mod averse, and so far the default model works fine for me, but I do plan to go there sometime, the modded Longitude that is.  What would absolutely tip me in favor now is if they fixed the brightness of taxi/landing lights.  Did that happen in the Longitude mods?

And besides brighter lights, alot bright lights, did they do anything to the most frustrating button in all of MSFS, the one that controls AT speed, mode, etc?
