June 11, 20214 yr In V5.1 this was fixed and now it is back. This happens when several parameters in the VolumetricClouds.cfg are too extreme for P3D too handle and clouds have not been shown till far at the horizon. https://www.dropbox.com/s/8qkd7nd59fshzod/Foto 11-06-2021 09 09 29.jpg?dl=0 What disappoints me is that an OC is still flat as a pancake. That has not changed. Where are the cumulus and Omnicumulus clouds ? After almost a year I still see “simple” clouds… Also there can be haze at 3000 ft https://www.dropbox.com/s/eqne1x6jl93a94h/Foto 11-06-2021 09 20 47.jpg?dl=0 Where at 3500 ft there is none https://www.dropbox.com/s/qkwp8y20rsf70fm/Foto 11-06-2021 09 20 58.jpg?dl=0 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0
June 11, 20214 yr I've seen this too. I've also seen that the haze is constantly drawn infront of the vehicle causing a visible line in front, kind of like the line in the distance where the shadows are drawn.
June 11, 20214 yr The white haze is a visibility layer, so this is more of an issue with weather injection. Active Sky seems to put extremely thin visibility layers, which look weird. I hope following Active Sky updates will make this better. Either case, @mpo910, have you seen this before? June 11, 20214 yr Author The VolumetricClouds.cfg is the same as in v5.1 HF1 (that was my version). So the EA improvements were focused on dusk/dawn/night atmosphere, which looks definitely better. Regarding the clouds, I now will try letting AS control the VolumetricClouds settings and see how the clouds horizon. 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0
