July 6, 20214 yr Author It's been nothing short of amazing since I replaced my stick with the Thrustmaster T16000M. I've had to do very little to the sensitivity settings. I haven't fired up XP11 since installing my new stick, so I believe I am on the verge of migrating 100% to MSFS. The only thing that is remaining that I wish I could overcome is my limited 20Mb internet connection, which I cannot do anything about that atm - other than move...hahaha. Other than that, this sim runs great on my dated hardware. This is why I never jumped to purchase an upgraded system. This thing ran great during Beta testing early on in the release. Now, I eagerly await the July 27th update...as I think it will solidify my number 1 sim of choice if not already! I have the Thrustmaster T 16000M and the HOTAS that came with my version and really like it a lot. I also noticed when they were showing some videos in 2019, that Asobo was also using the same joystick ( not sure about the HOTAS ), so mine worked perfectly by the default settings applied. Even most of the options on my HOTAS. Now I do have to setup some custom profiles at some point and assign some more options. Been too lazy except for a few I assigned myself on the HOTAS, such as flaps, gear up, parking break, etc....I myself hardly ever use the buttons on the joystick, but that is just me, prefer to add options to my HOTAS, so I don't have to take my hands off the joystick. Everyone is different though and they set even exact controllers up differently. Whatever makes you happy is the key 🙂 Enjoy your new Thrustmaster T 16000m! You only have the joystick right? I also got lucky and got my set from Amazon for $135.00 at the time. Haven't seen that price since! So far it's been enough, but occasionally, I get the message that my bandwidth is too slow, but I will generally ignore it. Yes, just purchased the stick, but I also have a pair of Logitech Pro Flight throttle quadrants. Haven't seen that price since! I bought my T16000M pre-pandemic and it seems like I only paid about $90 for it. Maybe that's just my bad memory though. I really like the T16000M as it's pretty good "all-arounder" stick, I can use it to simulate an Airbus sidestick, but also use it for fighter jets as well. I even use the twist function as a tiller in P3D. Haven't tried to program that function yet in MSFS. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB

July 7, 20214 yr Any of you have recommendations on using the saitek throttle and rudder pedals with less sensitivity?? I just can’t seem to get it right. i know it it’s quite old now and need to upgrade. cheers mike
July 13, 20214 yr I'm really looking at printing my own yoke, throttle, and pedals (Cadet -yoke, -throttle, -pedals), and replacing my extreme 3d pro. I broke it when I took it apart (which doesn't happen often, weirdly enough), so yaw never worked; so I used my racing wheel pedals as rudder pedals.
July 16, 20214 yr I recently upgraded from my trusty 15 year old saitek cyborg Evo stick to a VKBsim Gladiator NXT. The difference was night and day. There was a level of precision and accuracy that I was missing. It made flying so much more enjoyable that I should have done this years ago. With the old stick I had to mess with sensitivities and dead zones heavily on MSFS. Edit: I forgot what the point of this reply was.. I guess maybe that the VKBsim joystick also has magnetic sensors instead of those troublesome potentiometers and it made MSFS hand flying much more enjoyable than using that old ancient stick! Like you a modern stick solved my sensitivity issues. Edited July 16, 20214 yr by Azapata87

Your experience is almost identical to mine. When I fired up MS FS2020 for the first time with my MS Sidewinder it was impossible to fly well - no matter what driver or setting was used the aircraft would twitch all over the place if I just breathed - especially on pitch. If I used the SW with any other program it was fine - in FS it was impossible, no matter what combination of drivers/adjustments were applied. I invested in a new T.16000M and all was well. July 16, 20214 yr If my T16000M blew up tomorrow, I would buy another one in a heart beat. I love this joystick.
