The spacebar does work (I believe they call it landing view), but it tends to go too far over the top and cuts out half of your instruments from view. I simply want the ability to set a custom and saveable camera view like before SU5 - it worked superbly well before - now it is bugged. They must have brought in the old bugged code from a wrong branch, because we had this before many moons ago (maybe before Christmas) and they fixed it. I notice you appear to use a head tracker in your videos, so it may not affect you much. Sadly, it appears after many years, my TrackIR has now gone to the hardware graveyard! It is like this... I like to raise my position slightly so I am seeing a bit of the engine cowling, then tilt the view down slightly with the mouse to regain the view of the instruments I need. I used to save this to ctrl-alt-2, which can then be brought back with alt-2 at will - I set a joystick button for this for convenience. (The only reason I don't use alt-1 is because I reserve it to save the default position in case I lose it or mess it up, but this has never actually been needed, as unless you mess with the camera config file, it will always remain) To test this issue, load say the default classic C172. To move the eye position up, press the up arrow key. For some reason, there is now an artificial limit or 'wall' that stops movement above the top of the control panel, so you can't get anywhere close to seeing the cowling or over the top of it. In third party aircraft, I managed to raise the viewpoint (in the BN-2 for example) and save my preferred position to Alt-2, but then the camera views show incorrect behaviour because if you quick view left (like when in a left hand pattern) the view returns to centre but at the default lower Asobo position behind the panel again. It always used to return to your last selected custom view - it's now borked! For those of you that fly other ways (Track IR etc.) you probably won't understand this and it won't affect you, but I fly like this, it always worked before, and now it is creating me a problem. So basically it is broken (again). Well.. they fixed it once, so hopefully they can fix it again. I am convinced it is a regression to the old bug again by mistake. Honestly, I am beginning to think the quality control department (if they have one) couldn't organise a bun fight in a cake shop. As we know, this isn't an isolated example. August 1, 20214 yr Author Bobcat, as i mentioned, i have the same exact issues as you. which for me really takes away from the enjoyment. I wonder if this has been brought up at the MSFS forum. It would be nice to know that the developers are aware of this very annoying issue David Myers

I am stuck with the default view with my eyeline level with the top of the panel - frustrating to say the least! I have tried moving the camera height in the menus, but it doesn't stick properly that way and shoots back down in the sim and introduces other problems. I don't know what they have done here, but this is a basic necessity that has been nerfed. I thought we had this bug last year and it got fixed once - its back! I concur, I have the same issue on that type. Curiously I have a higher eyepoint in my settings than the aircraft now permits, but it still loads at that eyepoint height. Once I try to change the height, it jumps down and I can't raise it agian. ckyliu, proud supporter of ViaIntercity.com. i5 12400F, 32GB, RTX4070, more in "About me" on my profile.
