Prediction on the date of the Hotfix?

That was a month ago.

EDIT: Never mind. I forgot Europeans do the day/month thing for some reason.

Some reason like the fact it makes sense to start at the smallest unit and move up in size?🙂

I agree and you must be a developer.

Actually, most of the world do that.

I'm a developer too and also a fan of this. As long as the ordering makes logical sense (small medium large) or (large medium small) I'm happy 😂

Man…folks on Avsim will argue about literally anything, including the date.

I always thought that made the least sense of any format.

I think you'll find it's you lot over the the pond that are the only ones doing it the wrong way round 😉

Those "hard working guys" over the pond are out for (early or late) lunch, late in or early out, but never available.

As am I, and as am I.   😄  ISO 8601 or bust!

(I'm really just replying to say that folks of a nerdy persuasion who know without looking it up what ISO 8601 is may really enjoy this reddit thread.)

Working with software engineers, this place has absolutely nothing on pedantic arguments! It's practically a utopian paradise of agreement...

I file everything using this protocol, so much easier to find documents in order at a later date so I shall not attempt to change your mind.

So if I ask you today’s date you will respond :

2021, august the 6th.

In Europe we just say 6 august….

For documents it doesn’t matter :

1-2-2021 ( 1 februari )

2-2-2021 ( 2 februari )

I like this : something else than tweaking, adjusting, stutters and CTD’s… 😝

As if Aviation is fickle for standards 😂

Our planes' paper logbooks:

d/m-yyyy (6/8-2021)

Our Electronic logging system:

yyyy-mm-dd (2021-08-06)

My own personal logbook under "Date of flight or session" column:

dd/mm/yyyy (06/08/2021)

Proper administration is the toughest part of flying, I tell you!

It makes sense.  day, month, year - smallest to largest.  doing it month, day year is like counting hundreds before tens 😜

I know I left school during the ice age, but even then I think you will find that Spain was also in Europe (that should start a good fight), oh no is wasn't, oh yes it was etc 🙂

My post, in reasonably good English led with "I file everything using this protocol", I do not use said format in speech that would not be cricket. I would not however as you suggest "just say 6 august…." I prefer "6th August" a more polite, precise way and it just sounds terribly correct.

Pedantic reply mode off now, I like Holland too 🙂

n.b. I NEVER stutter.
