I love my Skalarki MCDU and FCU but it's a lot of money to have tied up in something collecting dust on my shelf. I feel the same way. In fact these days I’ve somehow lost interest in airbus and almost wish I’d gone with Boeing type equipment. It’s great stuff. But super expensive. You would think it could be usable with more planes by now 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next
August 9, 20214 yr I think I said it in the other thread but ProSim does have some glaring inconsistencies with the real deal, like fonts or some behind the scenes functionality, but it looks like Fenix is taking care of most of them. Even if they didn't, it would be a remarkable plane with their custom model etc. I am totally thrilled about this announcement and honestly, Fenix could've led with this info. It's not bad news. Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory. The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire. To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune. There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you. It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

Yeah, I guess many Prosim customers would hope some that might find its way back into Prosim. Cleaning up their EIS1/EIS2 and MCDU revision mixture would be just one necessary step on top of many.
August 9, 20214 yr What MATTERS is what they deliver, not how they get there. I am looking forward to this aircraft based on what has been shown so far. I am always (still) surprised by the amount of discussion on subject matter out of our purview. I am a huge fan of PSX and if this bit of kit even starts to approach the comprehensive experience that PSX provides, I shall be content. Meanwhile, I shall enjoy the information shared by Fenix and @Aamir and wait in cautious optimism. I am horrified to read that the Skalarki units are still unsupported… really? It’s the systems and no visual model. They have commercial clients that use their software for their own company’s pilot training. Homecockpit builders also purchase. Fenix, has licensed the software code from them, and is adding a visual model + adding more features to the base ProSim for desktop users in MSFS. In a nutshell, Prosim is as top tier as it gets. Prosim also has a visual model and all panels can be put onscreen (2D). Fenix is licensing some components from the Prosim generic cockpit software. August 9, 20214 yr I only hope they got the legal stuff sorted out. I wonder why no one else came up with this idea yet. Happy with MSFS 🙂 home simming evolved

It's such a brilliant idea and a time saver, as prosim actually uses the same ECAM software as the airbus, with the appropriate datasheets fed in. What this means is if the Fenix cabin pressure keeps giving an ECAM alert, Fenix devs just need to tune the pressure system until it stops giving ECAM messages because the fundamental systems are simulated. Almost like using prosim as a debugger.* *So I've interpreted from the prosimar forums. Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory. The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire. August 9, 20214 yr Not to take this too far off the original topic (although this could be forward looking to Fenix support) but this was posted on the Skalarki forum five days ago “We have FCU driver ready. It should be published later next week. MCDU will follow. For now hardware will be compatible only with FBW and ProSim.” Fingers crossed!
