Image not fluid - Only with v-sync On

Why this happen if I don’t activate v-sync on the game? (you can see the “cuts” when i move the camera)

Do i need to change any Setting in nvidia control panel?

That's exactly the job of the v-sync. To eliminate these tearing.

MSFS2020, 24, Fenix A320,  Ryzen 9 9950X3D, ASUS TUF RTX 5090 ,G.SKILL 64GB 6000MHz CL28

As Roi says, that's why you use Vsync

I remember that I had some settings on the NVIDIA panel, that it wasn't necessary to have v-sync enabled.

Or, get a G-Sync/Freesync monitor.

I think my monitor is Freesync, but I confirm when arrive at home.

have you changed some settings on the NVIDIA control panel, or inside NVIDIA program?

Andre, if you don't have a G-Sync/Freesync monitor, I don't understand why you want to turn off Vsync.
It doesn't affect performance, it only stops screen tearing like in your video.

It is also better to set Vsync inside the sim, not use Nvidia settings, as Asobo have a new screen paging system that makes it look smoother if you use Vsync set inside the sim.

What video card do you have?  Most people set Vsync 30, but if you have something like an RTX3080, you may be able to set Vsync 60.
Anything higher is a waste and will make your graphics card run hot.

I confirm now, and my monitor is Freesync. So, it shouldn't have this problem without v-sync off..

My graphic card is a rtx2070 super.

I always have much fluid experience turning On VSync in the Nvidia panel and turning it Off in game. This has been the case for me for every update.

that depends, it depends on the VRR of the monitor. If you are dropping below the VRR, which is HIGHLY possible in MSFS, then you will get tearing. Unless you have a monitor with low framerate compensation. LFC allows FreeSync technology to work when the framerate falls below the minimum refresh rate of the display.

Best thing to do is get a gsync monitor. That's the best gaming decision I've made. It has made the sim so smooth and I don't have to use vsync. Even when the frames drop, it's still smooth

I use the in game vsync for this reason, although I'm still experimenting since I upgraded my CPU I tend to favour vsync 20 atm.

This syncs the game at a 1/3 of my monitors refresh rate - and 48hz/fps happens to be the minimum (VRR) my screen will allow for freesync. This gives me a stable FPS for 90% of the time and keeps my GPU temps down - motion is smooth with no obvious difference when comparing to 60fps.

Occasionally I will however run at vsync 30 (72fps) or vsync 60 - 144fps so essentially freesync - depending on where I'm flying.

It's also worth noting that a consistent FPS rather than variable FPS is preferable in MSFS - and yes I've changed my tune somewhat on this.

Need to keep those frame times in check 👍 which is why I'm tending to select vsync 20 atm.

I use Vsync OFF in MSFS, and have it ON in Nvidia Control Panel - for the reason that Nvidia have a "Fast" Vsync option, that provides much greater performance.

Yep. My g-sync monitor isn’t a full g-sync model and it is excellent. Smooth as butter.
