August 19, 20214 yr Before I start playing with config files etc has anyone experienced this. running 1440p ultra custom (one change no motion blur). If I change my render scale to anything above 100 I get the following issue. when panning left or right large pixelated squares break up the image, on a 32” monitor they are about 5mm square and are mostly over the top third of the image. I’m in the very early stages of faulting this, but thought I’d ask in case someone has experienced this which would then hopefully save me some time. ive used render scaling before with no issues. Temps are fine and I can limit FPS down to vsync 20 (48fps in my case) and I STILL get the issue. Scaling down to 95% also seems fine. thoughts team? August 19, 20214 yr You can also roll back your driver to 466.77 to get around this. Flag it with zendesk too, they should be able to lean on Nvidia to adjust their drivers. i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea
August 19, 20214 yr Yes, it seems there are issues with geforce cards. Some over here suggest rolling back driver version: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/glitchy-pixels-at-top-of-screen/430295. I haven't tried it yet, but plan to as I have other worse rendering glitches than just the render scaling one. Edited August 19, 20214 yr by eltair

That’s exactly it - well thank the gods it’s not a VRAM issue, that was my first concern. cheers mate👍 New PC Ryzen 9850X3D - 32gb ddr5 6000Mhz - MSI MAG B850 Tomahawk wifi - Gigabyte wind force gaming OC 5090 - 2TB Sabrent NVMe. August 19, 20214 yr No issues here with higher render scaling, but I am only running at 1920x1200 and have not updated my Nvidia driver for a while (due to previius updates giving me grief). I don't get it with older drivers though.. Not sure if 3070s are affected too. New PC Ryzen 9850X3D - 32gb ddr5 6000Mhz - MSI MAG B850 Tomahawk wifi - Gigabyte wind force gaming OC 5090 - 2TB Sabrent NVMe. August 20, 20214 yr NVidia Driver version 457.30 is still the best.. I have given up on chasing any newer driver version .. just causing grief and pain.. With this version my 2070 Super and render scaling at 150 for my 1440p Dell - just chugging along nicely 35+ fps and smooth my 2 cents on a Friday Have a great weekend Intel i7 - 9700K @ 3.60 GHz | Asus RTX 3080 | 32 GB RAM | Saitek ProFlight Yoke System and Rudder Pedals | X-Touch Mini | Honeycomb Bravo TQ
August 20, 20214 yr I don't like look of the sim at 100. Prefer at least render scaling at 120. August 20, 20214 yr Tell you what. My 1080 works fine using the latest driver and render scaling up to 200 and "high-end" setting, so if anyone needs to trade their 3080 series card for my 1080, please let me know. 😉 Have a safe and pleasant weekend everyone.
