August 24, 20214 yr It's there for sure. Experienced it consistently in two of my recent dc-6 flights, under conditions that were prone to ice accretion.... August 24, 20214 yr Not where I have been flying but I am flying GA and at the altitudes I fly and this time of year where I fly, icing conditions do not exist. But there is plenty of thunder, even when not in the presence of any convective weather, and even with lightening turned off in the options. August 25, 20214 yr Haven't seen any icing since SU5, but haven't been expecting any below 10k in the summer. Will set up some icing conditions later and check. I think I may have started to ice up once, but immediately descended before it got out of hand (before, once you had iced up, you stayed iced up).
