So looks like someone misspelled "pin"..... And that is what I was responding to.... Was just a bit of humor. No, it's just become a bit of a tradition to "Pine" (rather than pin) a topic. It might have come from the early heated discussions on tree size or pre-dates that, I can't actually remember! Either way, the spelling is deliberate.🙂 Normally, @cmpbellsjc adds one or more 🌲s to the post but maybe the loggers are in town today!😄 OS: Win11 Home; Mobo: Asus TUF Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi D4; CPU: Intel i5-12400 (Alder Lake) 4.4 GHzRAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 64Gb (4x16GB) 3600 MHz; GPU: MSI Radeon RX 5700XT [8GB] SSD: Corsair Force MP510 (for OS); 2x 1TB & 1x 2TB Sabrent Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 (one for sim, two for addons)HDD: Seagate 3TB (Data); Seagate 1TB (Programs), ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B Curved 31.5" monitor, 1440p, 38Mbs ethernet Fulcrum One Yoke, Honeycomb Bravo throttle, Thrustmaster Airbus TCA sidestick & throttle, Logitech Pro pedals, Xbox wireless gamepad (1st gen)

And that is what I was responding to.... Was just a bit of humor. Yeah this was kind of an inside joke a long time ago and I just keep going with it. I moderate another non-aviation related forum and sometimes people will post something note worthy and people will comment that it should be pinned, at least temporarily. So this one time a user posted something good and one of the first replies to the post the guy made a spelling error and said “you guys pine this topic”. It was rather funny since he meant to say pin it, but said pine. So after that, in good fun no less, anytime people wanted something pinned they’d say Pine it!! It actually evolved into some saying Shin this pit or shin it 😂😂 I think you can figure out what that means if you rearrange some lettersz It has nothing to do with the constant complaints from Matthew who was always talking about the size of the trees, but it might have come across as poking fun it it, which it wasn’t. Therefore, whenever Chaoticbeauty posts the weekly update I always pine it. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
