August 30, 20214 yr I got a vaccine shot in the left arm yesterday too, feels like I got punched in the arm in a bar fight I've had the shingles once that was no fun at all Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me

It has a zippered mesh bag to hold 'stuff', a seat and locking hand breaks! Talk about Deluxe. I can get prescription for one through my doctor and Medicare and Tricare will pay for it. I've been looking at them. So far my cane suffices. But seeing as how much better I can walk pushing a shopping cart I think I'll start shopping. Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
August 30, 20214 yr If you think shots in the arm are bad try a gamma gobulin shot in the butt. Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.

Talk about Deluxe. 🤠 I only pull it out whenever I know I'm going to be out of the car longer than I can be up on my own feet, because when I need to sit, I need to sit now! Whenever folks ask me how I'm doing, I smile and reply "I'm like my car, I'm old, tired and exhausted." 🤣 I'm giving serious consideration to purchasing an eBike so I can get a bit of exercise without too much strain: RadRunner 1 - Electric Utility Bike | Rad Power Bikes The Rad's are incredible, I have two. I also had a custom mount made on my trailer so it can tag along with the race car. I may not have the "experience" of some you you statesman but being 47 with 6 fusions, no feeling in my left leg or foot, right hip replaced twice, Barrets and Crohns amongst severe anemia and some other learning experiences I do love being able to go for long rides again... It's just enjoyable and brings me back to being a kid every time I get on it... I think they even have them at Costco now! Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

August 31, 20214 yr Well I guess I'm doing ok for an old fart. I've only been to the ER 3 times in the last month. Ear infection from new hearing aids, stitches in my foot, and xrays to determine if I had broken my hip from on fall on concrete. If you are going to get old you better be tough.😄 PS..No broken hip thankfully. Just an extremely bruised hip joint. Stiill hurts. Thank you. Not so much now, but hey: you can choose to laugh or cry. At the very least, it was accurate 🤣
September 1, 20214 yr I'm sure somebody's giving them. I even see them advertised. But this old guy was an M.D. before he became a tabletop aviator, and I gotta tell you that late August is a little early for getting a flu shot. If I had somebody in the office who was notorious for not keeping appointments, I'd jab him for flu before he could get away, even if it was late August. But the immunity from a flu shot wanes with time just as we're now seeing with Covid vaccinations. Getting the influenza vaccine in early-to-mid-October gives one a better chance of getting through flu season before the immunity has worn off, and statistically the chance of getting influenza before mid October is negligible. We have a couple of casinos up in the Mescalero Apache Reservation near Ruidoso. When we lived in Denver we would go to Vegas about 4 times a year. Well, out coin jar was full so we put the coins in a bag and went up there to play the slot machines for a while. It wasn't much fun. I turned the coins in at the cashier and got a what looked like a debit card. Went to one of the slot machines and inserted the card. The machine asked me how much I wanted to play. I entered a quarter and pushed button. The fake wheels spun awfully fast and came to rest on a non winning combination. The screen told me how much I had left and if I wanted to play again. I told it no. Walked around a bit and found the black-jack table, roulette wheel, and poker table were all video games you played for money. Went to the cashier and turned the card in and got cash back. We left and came back home. If I want of play an ATM machine I can go to the lobby of my bank. The fake sounds of the ATM slot machine were not as much fun as listening to coins drop into the tray or the whirr of the wheels when you pull the handle. Or walking around with a bucket full of quarters deciding which machine to play next. Technology lets you play faster, lose your money faster, while taking the fun out of it. But I'll bet the casinos love it. Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.

Noel, my primary care provider want's me to "walk around the block" at least twice a day. I said no to that suggestion, but instead go to the grocery store(s), grab a cart and slowly walk up and down every aisle. At least that way it's pretty much guaranteed that if I were to fall, there'd be someone to help me get up again! On the sidewalks, not so likely! Fr.
