Nice list, absolutely love addon linker, so organized and easy to manipulate the community folder.

 Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.

I like Project Coastline very much too. Those rocks he's put along the coast look phenomenal.

Yes, I have them too. Problem is there is so much to explore and so little time😬

Your list seems to have missed about 99% of the great scenery enhancements available on flightsim.to

You know, I don't mean to be rude, but, well, this seemed rude.  Did this really add anything to the discussion at all?   @captain420 was sharing their list of what they most appreciate and clearly hoping others would do the same.  Instead of taking the trouble to itemize what you don't like about each suggestion and then criticize the general selection, maybe that time could have been used to share some of what you consider to be the must-have scenery enhancements, since you seem to have very strong feelings on the matter?   That way there'd be something other people could benefit from, not just you dumping on the thread.

I mean, it's OK to just not comment if something's not your bag and you have nothing else to add.

While I don't disagree with the notion of "if you have nothing constructive to say, say nothing", I also thought what Ricardo41 posted to some degree.

The post IS called "Must have Scenery Enhancement addons for MSFS", and when I clicked into this topic I thought it would be a list of scenery add-ons that I could check out and explore. Knowing the ridiculous amounts of scenery that has been created already, I was hoping to get some insight from somebody who has perhaps explored a bunch of scenery, or somebody who has a keen insight into what some of the best freeware is.

So, in some sense, I have to say that the title of the post felt like a bit of "clickbait". While I certainly do not think it was done intentionally, it did give me that impression after I clicked through.

I have absolutely no problem with what he posted, and felt no need to respond, but even though I would not have posted what Ricardo41 did, I do not feel he was just flying off the handle from left field where nobody else is. I did not find his post to be rude, but more so "direct" in a way that could be off-putting.

Maybe a topic title of "My favorite scenery I would like to see in MSFS". Or, "My favorite scenery I like or want to see, what's yours?" would have been better choices.

To title the post "Must have Scenery Enhancement addons for MSFS", and then your average user like myself comes in and sees basically nothing they can even check out... well, I certainly don't care enough to post a response about it, but I thought it. (And now that I have said that, I guess I did end posting about it after all!).

So anyway... so as to not be a complete and total downer and not offer anything constructive ... I WILL offer up a few scenery addons that I particularly like. (I am in South Florida, so I focus on things my way, or on Alaska. I know, I know... opposite ends of the country!)

Malaga, Spain Airport LEMG (adds the second runway and makes the airport look more like real life... Malaga, my home town airport was awful in MSFS - heck, it was completely missing when the game was released)

If you like to fly in the Bahamas:

1. Bahamas Scenery Megapack

2. Bahamas by Art Poole (works with the Megapack above)

A few South Florida Addons which add some nice touches:

1. The iconic new Guitar Hotel for the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, FL

2. Kennedy Space Center

3. F45 - North Palm Beach County General Aviation Airport (excellent local GA airport)

Some nice Alaska addons

1. Everything released so far by RTTM (Return to Misty Moorings)

2. PACD Cold Bay

3. PAGY Skagway

4. PALH Lake Hood

5. PATK Talkeetna

6. PAVD Valdez

7. PAUN Unalakleet

8. PAKT Ketchikan Improvements

9. PASI Sitka

10. PAWD Seward

11. Admiralty Island Enhancement

There is nothing wrong or click baity about my TITLE. These are in my personal opinion must have addons that I think every MSFS enthusiast should at least have in his long list of addons. Nothing more, nothing less. I don't need a lesson to be taught on what thread title is appropriate. It's not misleading at all. I think you're the one who is a bit confused here.

Is MaVe's soundmod available yet? Their website states "coming soon" - this isn't a criticism, just curious if it's in beta testing somewhere?

Didn't even know he had a website. What is it? And I'm not sure, but he has posted several videos on his youtube showing sound of the sound work that he's done for the AI and they sound really good.

Thanks for sharing that. I'm really looking forward to his sound mod. I've used them in the past for FSX/P3D and it was very immersive with all the AI traffic activity at the airports. Really adds depth and life into the sim.

MaVe does post on here. Hopefully he can give us an update on it.

Fair enough. No lesson was intended... just some suggestions that I was offering up so that somebody like myself does not get the wrong impression or expectation of what the thread is about. You may be right, it may have been just ME and what my expectation was. But my expectation was dictated by the title I read... so there is that.

I made it perfectly clear that I did not think that there was anything nefarious or untoward or intentional about it on your part. Sometimes what is read one way by one person is read a different way by somebody else, and it certainly seems like I read your title differently than what you probably intended.  We can leave it at that.

those VFR mods are awesome, but often they "conflict" with paid scenery; you get two antennas in the same spot for example (one from the airport addon, one from the mod).

If I had the ability to detect objects that are placed "over" my objects I would happily disable mine. Sadly it's not possible.

However it is very easy for other developers to disable my objects. You just place exclusion rectangle and it's done. Now the only thing left is to set proper order of mods. All is described in read me file. Many freeware developers do that to make their mods compatible. I guess payware developers aren't even aware that We Love VFR exists.

Could I do the same the other way around? Sure, but what's the point? Mine should be treated as autogen on steroids, so custom sceneries should always have higher priority and in theory better quality.

His VFR mods are great as well, but pack 1 hasn't been updated for SU5 compatibility yet I don't think.

Region 1 wasn't updated because it has no smoke effects yet. That means update was not necessary and it should work just fine.

New update should be available later this month with new object type added 😉

So instead if complaining maybe provide them?

If that was all it did, it would indeed be pointless.
