You know the questions that get asked are filtered by Jane, right?  Like if we ask them if Microsoft will pull the plug on the streaming of satellite & photogrammetry data one day, Jane will just ignore the question and it will never get asked.  Or if we ask them whether Microsoft will charge for streaming of satellite & photogrammetry data one day, Jane will also ignore that question.

It's just a waste of time to ask such questions at the Q&A, they will be filtered and they will never be asked in the first place.

No offense to you, but such a question isn't even a good question in the first place.  Even if it were asked and Microsoft were forced to answer, Microsoft would never give a straight answer and would probably dodge it with some bogus answer.

You need to phrase things correctly in a positive manner... for example:

• Given how impressive the photographic environment work, and how often we hear the amount of data is being stored inside Microsoft AI servers for this purpose. Would you be able to explain further the amount of servers being used for this infrastructure and how is Microsoft providing the funding for it? are there plans to extend this capabilities for other video games?

It is not what you ask, it is how you ask....

Except if you've ever been at one of the Twitch Q&As, your question isn't directly asked like this.  Again, Jane will filter the questions.  A complex long question worded like that, won't get asked that way by Jane.

Jane will typically take your question and simplify it when she asks it.

What have an old saying in my home country.. if you never ask for it, you will never know.. and you will never get what you want.

If I had such approach of "why I would ask, it will be a negative answer" for my life, career and also as 3rd party developer career, I would have never been able to join Lockheed Martin beta program, I would have never being able to get an NDA with Microsoft for MSFS, I would have never had the privilege to join //42 as a partner to develop immersion packages with them and many other milestones.

Don't assume Jane will filter it, she might like the compliment hint inside the question and ask it..is like seeing a beautiful women in place alone and avoiding going to talk to her because we get afraid she will reject us, but how do you know what that person wants? or what that person is thinking? and whats the worse it can happen? she rejects you? so what? but if she doesn't? she can become your friend at the very least.. but if you never try.. well.. nothing moves forward.

Sure, if you feel so strongly towards this, you can ask that question at the next Twitch Q&A yourself.

As for me, I don't really care.  As I mentioned in an earlier reply, I doubt Microsoft will charge us for streaming satellite & photogrammetry data in the future - we spent a whole thread in the Avsim MSFS forum discussing this very topic (and even if they did charge for it, it would likely be a very reasonable price).  

But if you feel really strongly towards finding and answer from Microsoft, you are free to attend the Twitch Q&A and ask this yourself.

I am a dev, I ask questions directly to Microsoft and Asobo via other channels... I am under NDAs and I can't discuss anything I learn from them via any public media. 

You guys are the ones always arguing about these things without even trying to get an official answer.. the Q/A session is for you guys not 3rd party developers, so that's the tool if you even want to know what the future is, I already know.

P3dV5 will not be removed from my sim for as long as it is supported. The aircraft available here are excellent (PMDG, FSL, maddog, the list goes on). Xp11 for the same reason. Re MSFS the PMDG DC6 and the Aerosoft RJ give hope for this sim down the road though it is getting much better.

It´s same with news. People just like sex and crime. So the end of a sim, is almost as good for them. They just wanna see blood. 

On the other hand, there are still people flying FS9. There is still new freeware published for this sim. So people just like it how it is. I like P3D5 and it is working now. Not sure if I will go any further. To get more addons. I have so many, I even forget them.

Truly, shopping is an addiction and I don´t need a better sim to stay addicted. I´d love to see improvements, for my way to use the sim, but i gave up hoping for an improved landclass or ATC.

They will introduce the next generation graphics. Why should I go for it, as I have fantastic looking world with all my addons? In ten years maybe new airliners will be missed in an old sim. I will fly my T-6 then or live in the real world by then.

Well said. I repurchased all the stuff you mentioned going to P3DV4 from FSX for the 64bit and am certainly not eager to repurchase a third time being happy with what I have.

I often toy with the idea of trying to obtain a copy of FS9 or reinstalling FSX just to get the A2A Stratocruiser and so I can use my LVLD 767. There is a plethora of classic aircraft both free and pay ware for those two sims.

Then one would have to stay with whatever current version of P3D that allows your add-ons to work on and your funding allows. What I said, if you read carefully, is as the years progress and LM continues to update the platform, current 3PD add-ons will become dated and/or no longer be compatible with LM's latest version. What I also said is 3PD's will likely not update their stuff thus necessitating you to either go to MSFS for the latest and greatest add-ons or stay with the older version of P3D that allows you to use your add-ons, much like many did with FSX for many years. 

However, like I also wrote, over the years I predict most will go to MSFS. But I suppose one can continue to upgrade with LM new versions but at some point if things continue as is, it will mainly be just default stuff in 5+ years time.

Please point to where I said P3D will die.
