October 3, 20214 yr Anyone know of any addons that can correct or at least help with the ground handling characteristics in MSFS? Taking off or landing physics are always overdone, making them a lot less fun than the rest of the flight. There is an addon , by Illuminators called "Improved Physics Special Edition MSFS" . Does anyone have this and if so, does it help? thanks

October 3, 20214 yr I'd love to see some peoples sensitivity settings. I find the resolution of my pedals is wasted on MSFS. The first 5 or so pixels of deflection is enough to get a good drift going. I think I have my settings so that the first 75% of my resolution controls only the first 25% of rudder deflection, and then it just J-Curves into insanity towards the end. I think I also have a delay built in so if I go full deflection, it takes 2 or so seconds to see that happen in the sim. Either way, especially during rotation, the plane wants to take some runway lights with it into the sky. No I don't have this issue on P3D, DCS, Star Citizen, or any other game that uses the same rudder pedals. Yes this is a cry for help lol. Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory. The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire. To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune. There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you. It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

DC6-Mooney-Arrow 3-Seminole. Thanks Bob. I'm using the G36 (Project mod) at the moment, I may switch to another shortly to see if it's the plane installation I might have done wrong.

October 3, 20214 yr I can only takeoff and land with rudder assistance on. I find it a much more enjoyable experience, so I will wait until they fix the handling before turning it off again like a 'real' pilot. Altering sensitivity only partly helps. You only have to watch some MSFS YouTube videos of flights to see we are all in the same boat! Edited October 3, 20214 yr by bobcat999 Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's. Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

You might want to play around with the "Extremity Dead Zone". With that, instead of going into insanity, it'll just go into mild silliness. 😉 Basically, what it does is reduce the amount of pedal throw that gets sent to the aircraft. ...jim ASUS Prime Z790-E, Intel i9 13900K, 32Gb DDR5 Ram, Nvidia 3090 24Gb, Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500 GB and 1 TB, Samsung Odyssey G9 Ultrawide 49" G-SYNC Monitor.

The sensitivity settings gives absolutely nothing, unless someone has some basic equipment with small resolution. Its not sensitivity issue but MSFS issues on ground physics especially during rotation (40 kts its a barrier), you are absolutely right. October 3, 20214 yr Yes, rudder assistance is the best help at the moment, but it does not help much when it comes to taildraggers, they are horrible, the only one I can handle reasonably of the ones I have tried is Aerosoft C-140.
