Problem with ATC

Featured Replies

Hi: Just recently I'm having a problem with ATC in FS2020. When ATC gives an instruction the Pilot automatically  answers and changes freq (if required) by it self without allowing me to enter a keyboard response. Anyone have any solutions. It was working as supposed to in the past. Thanks Al

Hi,

I have the same issue.

What do I have to activate or deactivate in AI Controls ATC Communications?

Thank you.

John, follow @guenseli's indication above.

It's a setting on the "Assistant" where you're handing these tasks to your co-pilot. It's actually a feature I love, because sometimes I am just too busy to cope with it 🙂

Thank you, jcomm!

Do you receive SID instruction from ATC? I always get direct to first point. That's unrealistic .

Even the STAR instruction is not complete. why?

If you use the in-Sim flight planner, you usually get all of the information you need.

If you import from simbrief or someplace else, then..... not so much.

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

It's bugged since SU5.

If ATC comm is demanded to AI, once you get the approach instructions the copilot "changes the destination" to your destination airport and you receive a new squawk code. Often ATC also asks you to climb 😞

IFR functionality in general has received very little love until now.

Sometimes, when I've set the co-pilot to handle comms, I only hear the responses.  The voice from ATC becomes muted.
