October 8, 20214 yr I’m looking at adding a piece of hardware, have a bit of disposable cash and feeling like an upgrade…If you had to choose one piece of hardware you wouldn’t want to sim without what would you choose… exceptions would be the typical yoke/stick, throttle, pedals. cheers! Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.
October 8, 20214 yr + 1 to Track IR. I tried VR as well but the visuals just weren't sharp enough for me so let it go. But Track IR I just couldn't go without.

But Track IR I just couldn't go without. TrackIR is certainly the most useful item after yoke, quadrant and rudders. I might try VR at one time but at the moment it is not there yet, at least not for flight sims. Also, one needs hand/finger tracking for turning those knobs as well as a way to access other applications, plans, maps etc. during flight. October 27, 20214 yr I'm onboard with the TrackIR recommendation but if you already have that, then I suggest: A touchscreen monitor and a knobster (for making control panels).
