Do you need special controllers? the Bell 47 requires starting the Flyinside Heli manager after you load the Bell, before starting the chopper move controls and make sure all are moving, The other two or three require you to start the Airland FS.exe after loading those, (r44, the MI model and the US military model) again, before actually starting engines move the controls and see if they are moving. All of this info is in the readme's and manual. pdf's provided by authors. I've created helicopter control profile for using with choppers (mainly reversing the "throttle" {not throttle 1-4} to act as a realistic collective (which you pull toward you to advance pitch of the blades. October 11, 20214 yr Firstly, a game that actually supports helicopters. All we have so far in FS2020 is sloppy workarounds that emulate helicopter flight.

October 11, 20214 yr download , install and run together with either helicopter https://flightsim.to/file/21417/airlandfs enjoy Bo Klop

(ENG 1 and ENG 2) These switchws are just above the lower garmin screens. October 11, 20214 yr even if the physics of the existing helicopters aren't considered particularly accurate, it's still fun to learn the coordination skills

Helicopters in the sim presently require external software to work properly, as it has been noted above. Flying helicopters in general is not about tricks, it's about deep understanding and knowledge of their aerodynamics. I don't very much agree that practice is the key. Practice has its place, but without knowledge there is no point in practicing wrong things. Helicopters are completely different from aeroplanes. Here is a website that contains plenty of information on both aerodynamics, design, and flying. If you are really into it then I would recommend "So you want to fly helicopters?" video course from Sporty's. It's payware though.
October 11, 20214 yr still worth learning the basic motor skills, I reckon. We'll all then adapt/fine tune those skills to the improved physics later 🙂 the problem I see at the moment, is there are so few MSFS flyers with genuine real life heli skills and extensive experience (participating on the various forums), who can provide genuine feedback. I'd imagine it would take some "throwing around" of a real heli to really judge it - like a crop sprayer or cattle muster pilot Edited October 11, 20214 yr by dogmanbird

You can see many examples even on this board.
October 11, 20214 yr It is funny that the board did not allow a perfectly reasonable word in my previous post. I meant a person who admired a particular person or thing very much.
October 11, 20214 yr i agree. it's a little crestfallen for me when a developer initially boasts authenticity at release, because their one contact who apparently flew the same aircraft in real life gave their project thumbs up, has now made changes that improves it quite significantly (has it really improved it's realism??🤪) Edited October 11, 20214 yr by dogmanbird
