Featured Replies

Taxi2gate have just released Doha Hamad international airport for P3D v5 (v4 version will release soon according to FB post).

simMarket: TAXI2GATE - OTHH-V2 P3D5

Don't forget to delete your older GSX.cfg if you used the old FSX/P3D version!

Kind Regards,

Peter

Nice addition!

Yes, finally a good P3D v5 Middle East airport. Instabuy for me.

Thanks for the heads up. Is it updated to the 2021 version of the real world airport?

It appears to be up to date, similar to the latest aerial imagery

Kind Regards,

Peter

It seems the extra work for the v4 version was done pretty quickly as it is now also available via the same link in the original post.

Enjoy your flights in and out of Doha-Hamad!

Kind Regards,

Peter

Does that mean that MEX is next?

That would be nice indeed, However, MEX was done by David Aquino (Dreamflight, Flightbeam Quito, etc.) for Taxi2Gate. On Facebook, David announced a MEXv2 some time ago. But priorities shifted a bit towards MSFS (even though some new P3D airports like MROC and MDPP were announced half a year ago).

Best,
Christoph

I'm thinking KSEA will be next.

Doha looks good. I have been missing a decent Middle East airport to fly from. Had been tinkering with purchasing Dubai from FT but that's also quite a bit old now so looks like this is a good option for me.

AUH / OMAA is not too bad.

FTs Dubai does still hold up quite well so long as you don't mind the slightly out of date layout (it's missing one of the new Terminals). Doesn't matter to me as I only ever fly Cargo into DXB. I believe inibuilds also has compatibility files that add dynamic lighting to make it look nicer at night. I enjoy how FlyTampa model the surrounding city so I maintain quite a high opinion of it.

Will nonetheless take a look at this OTHH scenery though, does look rather good.

OBBI Manama by MSFG is pretty good for a $15 airport if the lack of an installer doesn't bother you. Way I look at it, if I'm going to fly all the way to Bahrain, I don't want to land at a default airport. I have Dubai, and Doha would make a nice trio of Gulf airports.
