Uninstall AIG

You could also just reduce the traffic percentage in AIGTC so that you aren't getting as much traffic and will maintain performance. Another option would be to switch to realtime traffic from the sim using the AIG aircraft and just not run AIGTC at all until AIG comes back online with a fix.

Thanks, Dave. I'll reduce the percentage, never thought of trying that. The second part sounds like a good idea too, how do you use the AIG traffic in the sim like that?

Realtime traffic is an option in the traffic option in MSFS.

In other words, don't open the AIG Traffic controller and just use realtime traffic in MSFS.

What's up Dave?

I've been running MSFS with offline AI and the AIG TC and I see and hear GA traffic.

Why is the recommended setting off when it appears to work ok with off line ai on?

I got distracted when I was reading your reply and delted the CVT file from the comm folder, is there a way to replace that? Thanks, Jose.

The sim will do it itself. You don't need to do anything.

The realtime traffic from within MSFS is still pretty rough and misses a lot of flights, but if you let the sim run for a while it will populate with traffic using the models and liveries from AIG on it's own. There will be some issues where the icao code is not available in your AI collection and a default MSFS model will get used instead. One of the big things in the US us that all of the regionals in AIG are coded with who they are operating for (AALX, UALX, DALX, ASAX etc) whereas in real life they will all use their own identifier (SKW, EDV, ASH etc) .

You also won't get nearly the same amount of traffic using the realtime as when using offline as we still aren't back to pre-pandemic traffic levels and also the coverage from the realtime source just misses a lot of traffic that the OFFLINE option doesn't.

Thanks guys. I'll soldier on. I did a flight from Heathrow using AIGTC just to test things, everything loaded in fine but after 3 or 4 minutes all the planes disappeared, AIG had crashed by itself again. Not sure what the issue is. I'll just use the Online traffic for now. Thanks again for all the help.

Do you have AIGTC excluded from any system security?

Running AIGTC in windows 8 compatibility has reduced the crashes for me. I've probably only had one in the last few weeks.

Thanks for your efforts.

Perhaps Kai should add this to the accompanying documentation as well.

Much needed. The documentation is not at the same level of the add-on itself.

Cheers, Ed

Try to set the AIGTC to compatibiliy mode for WIN 7 or 8. This significantly reduces the crashing.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
