Aerosoft CRJ 1000

Featured Replies

Hey guys - anyone here got the new CRJ-900/1000 have any thoughts? I'm trying to find out if it's worth the $20 or if it's simply the same thing as the 700 just with a slightly stretched visual model?

Thanks

More or less the same as the 700 - IMO.

If you can fly the 500 and the 700

you can also fly the 900 and 1000 .

Basically the same usage ..

cheers 😉

Most airlines now use CRJ 900 - 1000, very few use the 700 so if your going for realisim...

Once you are flying, you would see any real difference between the variants.   Save your money 😀

How does the CRJ 1000 Feel? Any different from the 700?

What is the difference!

Can someone who has tried it Tell us please!

I flew (fly) the -700 a lot and have been flying the -900 and -1000 exclusively since launch. I can say that they do feel different. The -900 and especially the -1000 feel more "mushy" and less nimble. Pitch stability is also different and the aircraft seem to require more control input in gusty/windy weather (especially on approach). I'd say for the price it's definitely worth it to pick up the -900/-1000.

My experience is the same as liamp51

I have done about 20 flights now and I'm a little bit skeptical the airplanes (900 and 1000) fly like they do in real life.   It seems to need too much pitch trim for a smooth take off and has a hard time climbing away without a ton of pitch up input initially then it leaps off the runway.  I find I need 10 degrees nose up trim. On final you need to keep in what seems like an inordinate amount of throttle and if you don't you drop like a rock the last 100 feet.  I find I need to keep throttle in at like 70% to make a smooth landing especially in the 1000.  I also find it does weird stuff in high wind.  Kind of like how before SU6 if you had a 20kt crosswind in the 747-8 it was impossible not to engine strike... or land really.  It gets floaty and weird after touch down in crosswind. You'll get used to it though.  Is it realistic I can't say.  Is it different than the -700? I'd say 'mushy and less nimble' is a good description.

10 degrees nose up? No sorry, you must be doing something wrong. I use the given value by the EFB, and it's perfectly smooth at taking off. Tried the 900 and 1000 already, flies really well (and I like it more than the 700).

Still can’t operate the Altitude level with the autopilot button without mouse for altitude changes, which is a pain….  Not sure why they can’t make this work, when other buttons can be assigned to your devices…

Anyone ever figure out a work around for this?

Does it use the same custom camara views as the 700 or did you have to make all new custom views?

You have to make new ones. Might be a way to copy them over, maybe by simply copy and pasting the text in some config file, but that's just a guess.
