MSFS GOTY Edition + Reno Air Races Review

Recommended Posts

I never imagined this in FS but I think I'm actually going racing just to experience it 🙂

Doesn't RSR at PMDG have an involvement with the Reno Air Races in real life?  Perhaps a PMDG racer down the line LOL...

Really interested to see the weather improvements and in addition to some of the new airports this one struck me as well

Quote

it introduces support for systems like afterburners, supersonic flying (with boom), and collimated HUD that third-party developers will be able to use in advanced aircraft,

Just in time for the DD Concorde...

It looks like Nascar in the Air, and just as boring to me, is it just about roundabouts?

No. The new update makes Live weather better than before. The presets and manual adjustments will still be there

This may be a dumb question but will we be able to fly all of the aircraft coming with the air race pack outside of the races? I'd love to fly the L-39 around SoCal.

I thought they said yes in the last Q&A.

As Jorg says in the interview the SDK is updated with capabilities to have user created races. Within weeks there will be more races than you can ever complete.

Abrupt Weather changes?  I'll just check I not reading a REX thread - no, I'm reading about MSFS weather having abrupt changes!

As the reviewer says, I hope this is an oversight or bug that will be fixed!

I means you can move you head (like using track ir) and the HUD stays in place.

Great!  I find that the most annoying thing about HUDs.

Call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind, but I prefer Rob.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.
