I'm over it - AI Piloting enables itself every flight

What an absolute circus of development.

Are you seriously claiming that the development team behind MSFS2020 are bad at their jobs because of a configuration setting not holding under certain situations with regards to AI pilots?

That's how you end up judging this simulator, which has brought us all (finally) a modern platform?

As a software engineer myself, we're used to this sort of flippant feedback.  But it's a tad bit absurd.

Yes. Yes I am. I paid $120 for this sim and shockingly yes I expect amateur things like configuration settings sticking in place

DEV Mode has some issues with Assistance settings, we are suffering from this on each rebuild.. all assistance go back to all enabled.. so we have to reset them back on each project compile.. about 100 times per day or more..

Check if you have DEV mode enable, if so, turn it off.. it might help you.. for us devs.. we are just doomed..

I had this AI Pilot problem also, the only thing that worked for me was to turn off AI pilot while still in game ( at arrival gate/ taxying in etc),then quit/exit.

THANK YOU. Someone of creditability to confirm how absurd this bug is.. And no I don't have dev mode enabled. This stupid bug reaches beyond that

I sometimes enable the pilot, only from the drop down menu, to do long taxi’s for me. I always turn him off as we approach the gate so he doesn’t stick. I just hate those giant blue taxi arrows.

I only get assistance resets if I go into the content manager. As long as I don't enter the content manager, my setting stay the same over multiple sessions.

It's an odd issue, doesn't seem to effect everyone the same.

Same here -  the HUD that shows on your screen comes on, [I don't use it], & all Assistance settings revert to Easy from Hard, each time I do something in Content Manager.

MSFS implemented the SIM-by-WIRE function, a self learning AI algorithm that monitors your flight. If you don't fly ecological / economical enough, it will autoreset some of the assistance features 😮
